Interesting and varied selection of furniture especially if you are looking for something different. Definitely not on cheap side but fairly priced for originality in design.

This is a pretty good store with amazingly friendly and helpful staff. As all of their other stores Matt Blatt have a mixture of unique design s and reproduction pieces. Some great value, one or two a little over priced. The over priced stuff tends to be the reproduction / replica items. Still the quality it reasonable and the range is a good mix.

The Matt Blatt experience is almost almost always a good one, with helpful and supportive staff. Almost.The vast majority of times I'm always welcomed and helped with any questions and shown demonstrations and comparison items. However, rarely I can go into the store and be completely ignored by staff and when I approach them I'm met with a wall of resistance and intolerance, as is I'm interrupting their day. This has only happened once to me this far.In spite of this, I'd still recommend Matt Blatt for their service, the quality of their furniture and their sales deals

I ordered an item in store and Michele advised it was on back order so could take a while to come in stock. She explain the process and timeline which was really helpful so I knew what to expect. I paid the deposit and when the item was in Sydney they would contact me for the remaining. The item arrived in Sydney and the company contacted me so I could contact the store and pay the remaining. I called the store and paid the remaining and Rachel notice that it was a lot faster than expected, instead of getting my hopes up she checked that it was definitely the case and called me back the following day confirming.I experienced a great level of communication and appreciate the staff at the Fyshwick store going above to satisfy their customers!

Stylish and over priced. Most pieces come in flat packs that you cannot pick up from the Canberra showroom, usually cost you $80 to $100 more to get a flat pack delivered. Love some pieces, usually not couches as they look good but do not feel good. Just not sure why the Canberra showroom cannot store the flat pack for pick up, but even then, they charge you $50 for that. Staff members behind the counter are usually arrogant and unhelpful. Giving the feeling of they don't need the business, very embarrassing for the businesses. No one gets off their chair in the store to walk around and see if customers need help. As if their buttons are glued to the furniture they are sitting on, sometimes they look like part of the showroom pieces, because they don't move at all. Quite a different and indifferent way to sell products. Haha. Might not last long in Berra if they don't brush up on their delivery and sales service .

An excellent furniture store for anyone decorating their home in designer style. This store specialises in replicas of designer furniture at more reasonable consumer prices. From a full-sized horse floor lamp as you walk in the door, to my personal favourite, the gorgeously elegant Isamu Noguchi coffee table, this is the best place in Canberra to create a lively and artistic home environment without obliterating your budget.

This is a fantastic furniture/homewares store. I'd written them off as probably being a massive rip-off but the prices pleasantly surprised me.You can definitely wax a huge amount of cash here if you're not careful, but I think it's more to do with them having great stuff than anything else.Reasonable sales come up from time to time, they're well worth taking advantage of.All their stock is available for viewing on their website, and they take orders over the phone (for pick up).

I had a very good shopping experience at this store. Emma, who is completing her interior design course in Italy later this year, gave me expert professional advice. Due to a mistake on my part, however, I had to unfortunately cancel this fairly significant purchase from this branch of Matt Blatt. I expected some resistance from staff, but to my surprise could not have asked for better understanding and assistance from Emma and the store manager Tonna Nassar. These 2 ladies are true examples of excellent customer service and an asset to the Matt Blatt furniture chain

The positives:- great collection of unique furniture- great in store experience including friendly and helpful staff- convenient location in FyshwickThe negatives- furniture is rarely in stock in the CBR store so expect a lengthy waiting period to receive your goods (in my case we are nearing 4 weeks now).- there is no after sales services on pending orders following the deposit, so be prepared to performance manage this store with calls requesting order status updates.This is not my idea of a premium experience to justify a premium price tag.The store failed to even call to initiate final payment and release of items once stock did become available for dispatch. You would think this is in their best business interest.All in all, lack of after sales services meant that all follow ups in my case were customer initiated which is frustrating as it means that we have been waiting for the delivery of outstanding items for a couple of weeks longer then necessary.manana, manana as they say in Spain seems to be the overwhelming theme of our experience with this supplier :-(
