Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens
Poor council planning locating this site (or visa versa) next to a tip. You will enjoy the overbearing neverending sounds of heavy industrial machinery interspersed with your tranquil nature experience. The site appears to have been lovingly cared for at one point but appeared as if abandoned on the occasion we visited. The recent time of little to no rain have taken their toll on the landscape, it clearly does not get irrigated near often enough. In any case, thanks to all the volunteers have spent their time maintaining this place.

Lismore Rainforest Botanic Gardens
Lovingly tended environmental education site. Went on a Sunday and there were so many people out working on the gardens and super friendly and eager to help us find things. Definitely suggest doing the stroll up around the pine trees.

Great place, there are marked walks and education centre there. Limited parking and right next to waste management centre. Free entrance and no tickets required.

Beautiful, but a rather bizarre rabbits warren of short walking trails and low budget maintenance. Still worth a look.

Beautiful erea with atmosphere of peace and harmony. It is different world of calmness and rainforest rendezvous. Discovery rounds take you into the deepest rainforest where you can listen in solitut to the soothing sounds of rain and inspiring bird calls.Your spirit will soar with the birds up into the forest canopy where you will find joy and peace. This is wonderful world of wildness and mature sound.After long work you can go to the resting erae with a peaceful environment for your enjoyment.

It would take most people many days to view the entire display at LRBG but any visit is worth your time. We missed the entry, so be aware that the entry sign is shared with the Lismore Recycling & Recovery Centre!

Lovely place, but whoever thought it was a good idea to have it next to the tip and sewage works? The stench is so bad we had to leave.
