Absolutely fantastic venue. Amazing customer service and hospitality. Food was really good and brought to the table in amazing time! Pizzas are sooo good!!!We’ve been twice and sat inside the club room and outside by the playground and both were great! So impressed with the venue and so excited it’s just around the corner, we’ll be back!! Thank you so much !

Fantastic pub with an awesome outdoor playground for the kiddos. Great food selection as well. Live music on the patio is great for a Sunday afternoon with the family. Will come back again.

Recently redone pub I think some of the architectural with choices might be slightly off but the fact that it has a outdoor playground for the kids which is fence stuff they go the extra mile for events we were on Easter and they had Easter eggs every table and the drinks are reasonably priced makes this a great stop there any family events

What a magnificent restoration this building has had! Love the various rooms and themes - from the opulent Daphne’s Snug to the more private upstairs bar. There’s still old school parts of the pub left too, see the sports bar and the front bar. The outside area with the playground is lovely - it’s got a chic orange colour scheme and water misters for a hot day.It’s a large venue but there’s QR codes on every table so service is not an issue. You could literally sit in the loneliest part of the pub and be fine. Food came out fast. Servings are quite large and the food is sophisticated for pub fare (endive in the salad, fried prosciutto on the schnitzel).Family friendly, with good food and service. With a mixed crowd to boot. A big, big thumbs up.

New pub alert! My new local.Sean is a great staff member so personal and friendly to my dog and us a customers great representation of basso hotel hope he is made supervisor!Looking fab after the refurb, staff were super friendly and @cruize_the_alaskanmalamute got so much attention.Had the classic schnitzel with sage, prosciutto and pepper sauce great big juicy chicken and delicious chips handmade no frozen here!My friends had pizza which also looked great!Enjoyed the Spritz on tap and all round pub vibes great addition to neighbourhood lucky for locals like me!

The renovations look very nice, from the sports bar to the more private rooms we had a sneak peak around it is beautiful and kept the heritage.The food was great, nothing to add, I might even have a new schnitzel favourite around Perth.Even so, everything was spot on, maybe it's a inflation issue, but 100$ for two, 1 starter, 1 pizza, 1 schnitzel, 1 pint, 1 glass of wine sounds expensive. The quality and service is there, but when I think pub more reasonable prices.Will be back for sure!

I had a great lunch at the Basso on the weekend! Food was delicious, oysters were fresh, kids were happy - large fun playground to play on and cheeseburgers were delicious… everything came out quickly, which was a big bonus on a weekend lunchtime booking with kids! One of the staff ‘Sue’ was a delight; Checked back on us, cleared our plates promptly after we finished, sourced some colouring in pencils and paper for the kids and found a Band-Aid my daughters non-existent ouchie. Thanks for having us Basso x

Firstly the renovation was spot on. Looks great modern without losing the old world charm. We were greeted with smiles and service was very quick. Ordered food via the app at the table and the food was delivered in a timely fashion hot fresh and delicious! Will definitely be back. Only downside is I feel the food was a little bit expensive.

Was the best steak sandwich & chips we've had in a long time. Love the history with the photos. Bearing that in mind, it was most nostalgic for me, as my parents owned a shop nearby when I & my big family grew up there. We lived in a shop just metres away, went to school & learnt to swim there at Sandy Beach in the1950's. Thanks for the memories. It's a beautiful building & very pleasant staff

Excellent visit in for the Sunday Roast. Such a delicious meal, it joined the clean plate club. Could not recommend more, lovely to sit on the balcony and such a stunning venue
