Shell Coles Express Kincumber

My car (ford ranger 2016) started having engine issues when I moved to the central coast. I took it to the mechanic and they said I had been using dirty fuel.I had only been fuelling at this petrol station as it's the closest to my house and I'm a man of habit. As soon as I changed petrol stations, the issues stopped.This review is my public service warning.

Unfortunately tonight i had the displeasure of buying fuel from this service station. Besides being highly priced from the get go, on this particular night i was in a hurry and had completely forgotten to wear a mask while paying for my fuel. ( i even covered my lower face with my jacket when i realised) Instead of being reminded politely to get one from my car or offered a mask i was given an ultimatum of either buying a mask from them and paying for my fuel immediately, or (and this option was very tempting) he would take down my license plate details and give them to police to ‘hopefully’ issue me with a $1200 fine. This service was hilariously appalling to say the least and i feel staff should be taught correct etiquette when talking to customers rather than making a scene for absolutely no reason. I understand covid regulations very well and abide by them all but on the very odd occasion when i forget, i or anyone else for that matter should not be abused by service station superheroes who think they can cure covid by harassing people.

Over-priced fuel. Attendant flatly refuses to accept 4c Coles fuel discount voucher even 1 day past the expiry date. Have had better experience at most other Coles Express and even competing ones like Woolies/Caltex. Won't be going here again to throw money away at expensive fuel with shoddy customer experience.

This place always seems to be a bit expensive compared to other stations. Well after being on the coast for a year now I have found that this place can be about 10 to 20 cents more expesive than other stations on the Coast. try and avoid if you can

Today I filled up with petrol and afterwards realised I forgot my wallet. I had promised the kids a treat all morning however when I went to pay the old fashioned way of entering in credit card details manually I was told you could only do it for petrol, not for shop items. When the kids had to return the chocolate to the shelves it was meltdown city. The very kind gentlemen that worked there paid for the treats out of his own money without my knowing. It was such a kind act from a complete stranger :)
