Hopeless! After weeks waiting for a lawyer to call me back about a family law matter I received a call back from a rude woman named Maria who made me feel like I was being interrogated. When I asked if I was speaking to a lawyer she refused to answer my question and hung up on me. Offended I called back and spoke to the receptionist who told me that Maria is NOT A LAWYER and that I had to speak to a woman named Claudia but that it would cost me $350 plus GST for my first consultation! I explained that I was a new client and that their website and flyers clearly state that they offer initial free consultations for city and country clients!? The receptionist said that that was something I had to speak to Claudia about when I came in. What a joke! Clearly these people are dodgy and I wouldn't recommend contacting these clowns. Look elsewhere!***PS: After I made this review on June 25th I received a message from Google that the owner replied to my feedback. I was going to call her like she requested until a friend of mine (a former client of Carro & Associates) who referred me to her in the first place told me that Claudia" contacted them a few days ago asking them to post a 5 star google review! It seems she has gotten friends and former clients to do just that subsequently after I shared my experience. Very pathetic and immature to be honest. Lawyers are supposed to solve problems not cover up their misstakes with fake 5 star reviews. Dodgy indeed!....."

I’m making a complaint about the receptionist working in this firm! After recently losing my father and over the past 4 weeks every Wednesday (my weekday off work) I left messages with their receptionist for a lawyer to call me back to help me apply for probate but I never received a call back from anyone. I called every week on a Wednesday since November 9th up until last Wednesday 23rd, the receptionist I spoke to said her name was “Yvonne” she kept taking my details saying that a lawyer will call me be back but no one returned my calls, I was always the one chasing them up. Every time I called, Yvonne would always answer the phone she kept assuring me that she passed on my message to the solicitor and will leave another message for them to call me back but still no one called me back. It was the same story every Wednesday for almost a month! I even gave her my husband’s number but to no avail still no one called me or my husband back. This is not the type of service my husband and I were expecting from a lawyer’s office!? How thoughtless and unprofessional to hire a lazy receptionist who ignores incoming calls from clients and makes a person who recently lost someone close to them wait for weeks on end for nothing! My family and I are going through enough grief and unexpected funeral expenses already even my husband and I had to borrow to pay for my father’s burial we don't deserve to be treated this way. We were desperately in need of a lawyer to help us during this difficult time and they could’ve at least spared a few minutes to return my calls and tell us if they were interested to help us or not. Simple as that! I doubt the receptionist even bothered to pass on my details to any of their lawyers at all. Not bothered to call again today, I’ll just find another lawyer who’s interested to help me.
