Underrated Breakfast Gem….Let me share something with you about this place that's seriously worth mentioning—it's highly underrated when it comes to breakfast and coffee. I genuinely mean it. The food they serve is absolutely fantastic, and their coffee is truly exceptional. What really sets this place apart, though, is the genuinely friendly and accommodating staff. Despite not having a reservation, they swiftly found a way to seat us, providing a level of service that was truly remarkable. Moreover, the ambiance of the place is both beautiful and cozy, adding to the overall delightful experience. I strongly recommend giving it a try.

Had a gorgeous lunch today. Sat out in the courtyard with our dog...under the arbour of autumn coloured leaves. Staff were so friendly, food was amazing. Gluten free chicken burger for my partner and Asian salad with charred chicken for me. Delicious. Wonderful cold cider. A must to stop at on the road from Daylesford to Malmsbury. Can't wait to go back.

Immensely disappointed by their service, or lack thereof. You will get greeted with a smile and friendly conversation if you're deemed a local; one visitor was mistaken for a local, presumably by the owner, and when they informed him they were just visiting from Melbourne, the owner's demeanour immediately changed. Service priority goes to locals too, which would be understandable if tourist revenue didn't generate so much of the region's economy. Additionally, we waited almost 20 minutes for a food order - which was inevitably forgotten about as more and more people came in, ordered, and received their food before us.Could be so much more if the dynamic was different. Nevertheless, it's a good stop to pick up some drinks.

Quaint cafe stocked with loads of delicious local produce . Food and coffee were excellent BUT the owner of this establishment needs to smile occasionally, learn some social skills and good manners . We were moved from our table unnecessarily and then felt obliged to leave when reservation signs and menus were put on our table indicating someone was arriving in an hour ! We decided not to have another coffee and cake as we were clearly in the way .. even though there were numerous tables free all around us . Just bad manners and a grumpy old man who needs to leave the service to his nicer staff members.

Truly one of the nicest little foodie places I have stumbled across during my travels. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and the aroma of delicious food hit my nasal passages. I ordered a flat white, a tempeh burger and a piece of the caramel slice (which I’m already craving more of!)I got to hang out in the beautiful courtyard and had a wonderful afternoon.Special thanks to Duncan, and Katie.

We had a fantastic experience at the Glenlyon General Store. The service was friendly, the gardens and decor were lovely and the food delicious. We'll be back (for another fabulous Glenlyon Toastie & Coconut & Almond Torte) again in the future.

Cute little country vibe, great shop with loads of tasty items. The friendly staff were awesome. The bacon and egg roll was delicious. Just wish we had longer to stop here and enjoy it more.
