Taxably Accountants and Advisors

I had a great experience last year, but this year I've been waiting for MONTHS. We are nearly 4 months further and still haven't heard anything back, while I have paid everything. There's no way to reach them... I hope I won't get in trouble with not declaring my taxes on time. Won't return. The Taxably team is very professional and knowledgeable. No doubt about their accounting skills. It’s very hard to get through to them though, sometimes it can take up to weeks and several reminders to get a reply. Do not recommend for small business and sole traders as you will be spending precious time chasing them.

I think they’re probably very competent, but I found them quite unfriendly and their fees are outrageous (275 AUD for an initial consult, which many other agents provide at no cost). Aaaand it takes ages to get an appointment, and responsiveness can be an issue. I don’t think it’s worth it.EDIT: I mean, look at their response - it should tell you about their attitude: aggressive and defensive at the same time.

I really don't like leaving 1 star ratings, and I will say that taxably is made up of good accountants that provide knowledgeable advice. BUT they are so unbelievably slow and have a total disregard for their clients so I really cannot recommend them (anymore).I used them since 2018 with no issues at all but this year has been a complete nightmare. I asked them to complete my Dutch tax return this year in March, and whilst very quick to send me an invoice (that I paid straight away), I have barely heard from them since. I am constantly chasing them for my return as I just want it to be completed, and I really can't understand. I held off leaving this review for a while, hoping that they would finally complete the return or at least reply to my emails, but I am still waiting. I am looking into a new accountant right now as a back up because I do not believe that they have any real intention of completing my return.[Edit - in reply to Taxably's response. Most of my emails and submitted docs were completely ignored since last March (a year ago). Never experienced such delays and poor communication. I received a new request for docs last week after a delay of over 4 months since I last submitted docs - completely ignoring my last submission. Taxably has proven once again to be very defensive and not taking responsibility for their actions; as now confirmed to me personally by many of their ex-clients. Sharing this very candid and honest review as I do not want others to go through this too.]

Marlena and the team and Taxably have been exceptional from the start!Overall I’ve been using them for over 3 years. Their process is streamlined, simple and fool proof. Tax can often be a pain for me but they have definitely taken the headache out of it and provided me superstar, personalised service every time without fail!Highly recommended!

Every year around tax time, I would have anxiety attacks, didn’t really know what to do.Then I found Marlena, explained my tax problems to her and she took over this horrible yearly pain.Every year I thank the heavens for her; she (and her team) are knowledgeable and really have eye for detail. Marlena and the team have done a great job with our tax affairs which span 3 countries. She is also very approachable and friendly as well as knowledgeable which was important to me in choosing an accountant. I highly recommend!

We recently moved to the Netherlands and I was so lost with how everything I need to do for tax, so I after checking around a lil I found Marlena, and I was so happy I did!She explained everything to me so thoroughly and was super knowledgeable and helpful regarding everything, and instructed me what I need to do on my end step by step as well.Would definitely recommend their services to anyone!
