Jillian’s FDC

My boys have grown up with Jillian over the past three years and all of us love her. She is professional, kind and caring, always putting the kids first and looking at new ways to improve their early education. Jillian absolutely puts the 'family' in family day care, and I can't recommend her highly enough.

Before we had even met Jillian, we were in the fortunate position of having the option to choose between Jillian’s service or another family day care run through a private organisation. We chose to meet with Jillian as she is registered with of Council’s Children’s Services meaning that her service is governed by their stringent safety policies and procedures – something that gave me confidence when handing over my child to a complete stranger.When we first walked through Jillian’s doors I couldn’t have imagined that both myself my daughter (and later my son) would form such a strong bond with Jillian and her family.Initially we made the decision to switch to family day care mainly due to the small groups and there being less chance of my daughter continually getting sick from being exposed to so many other kids, as was the case at long day care. Little did I know, there are so many more benefits to family day care which Jillian demonstrates week in and week out. I love how much she genuinely cares for the children. I love her communication with parents – the occasional text message during the day with a reassuring photo and then the detailed daily emails and photos of the group. I love how she personalises her care around the needs, interests and different stages of development that each of the children are at. Jillian is an extremely experienced and competent Early Childhood Teacher who has taught my children so much and has been such an integral part of their development. I can’t thank Jillian enough for this.
