Absolutely love this place!Second time here & this time we came prepared with water & firewood.Would be good if there was a tank to catch rain water to wash hands at the long drops tho.

Beautiful secluded campground with the most magical sand dunes I’ve ever seen in my life. With fresh water ponds in the middle of the desert and such rich aboriginal history in and around the area it’s hard not to feel a spiritual connection to the area! Bring your own brazier for fires under the clear sky’s! 15min sand tracks available from campsite to hat head beach which is rough but ok for a quick dip on a hot day!

Now whilst I know I should've enjoyed this camp ground more than I did, there were a few difficulties. Location was perfect, walking distance to beach and hiking tracks. Camp grounds maintained with good facilities. Plenty of shaded camping space. Downside: we stayed for 5 nights Tuesday-Sunday, the first 3 nights were magnificent. Friday afternoon the entire camp grounds filled up with noisy/ drunk young adults/teens who had boom boxes blaring until they drove off 7am the next morning. Only to return again Saturday night.

Really nice place. The bathroom is quite nice too, very well maintained. Beautiful landscapes everywhere

Basic campground with only a no-flush toilet. 5 minutes from the sand dunes. The roads need a lot of work as plenty of pot holes and one “flooded” section - low cars beware.

Good camping areaPlenty of spaceLots of lizards- don’t feed them !Long walk / short drive to the beachHat Head just down the road with excellent swimming river.Road okay for caravans - take it easy.Toilets are long dropNo fresh water supply nearbyLocal beach has rips so swim with care

Great little spot. Nice walk to the beach. Wasn't even too crazy during Christmas period, they don't overbook, so everyone has plenty of space.

Beautiful location to camp, quiet beach just down fromcamp, the sand dunes are just a minute walk from camp and are amazing, lots of birdlife
