Waltzing Matilda Centre
Great museum, some interactive/immersive experiences. Can spend a solid hour or 2 or more if you are a history buff.Though the main display is regarding the song and overall Banjo (the artist) there appears to be around 50% also dedicated to the history of Winton. Making it that tad more worth while.

We really enjoyed the Waltzing Matilda Centre. Interactive exhibits kept the children entertained and every part prompted thought and raised questions, then answered them.We were so captivated we had to come back the next day to see everything.

Another outstanding contribution to our history in outback Qld. This state of the art museum is dedicated to our unofficial Australian anthem and is well worth stopping in.With well presented interactive displays and a self paced tour through the museum and art gallery there was so much to see. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Altogether a 10 out of 10!

We went through the centre a few years ago, before it burnt down. Very happy with the new centre, we think it is much better. It is also much easier to read the descriptions of each exhibit, better lighting, larger print. Well done Winton.

You can certainly fill in a couple of hours, looking around and reading some memorable history. You need a couple of hours to utilise your $35 concession entry fee.

Well done and a great presentation of European history in the region with a spattering of indigenous interactions.

I asked questions and unfortunately didn't get information.Passion is important for tourists.A well presented building but can be missed by a soloist.Winton is a great area to visit.
