Today 22/1/19 we had a new care worker from 2.00 am to provide respite for my wife Daisy from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm. I had go out for shopping for about 40 minutes. During that time Daisy and the care worker(forget her name ) had a disagreement and the carer has told my wife that you pay only $2.00 the rest is paid by the government. In fact we pay & 207.92 for the 4 hours.

Make sure that you hold your course provider accountable at every step. I wouldn't also advise paying up front. I applied for RPL with an associated company of spectrum, Elise training, having worked with aged and disability for more than eight years. I also have a certificate 1V health and leisure - diversional Therapist. Manual handling etc. and acert 111 in community service. When I applied for RPL I was directed to an associated orginization Ellise Training (Sydney office) I was told the process would take up to 2/6 weeks to recieve my certificate. During this time I was asked to supply evidence that I could carry out the work specified for the disability course, this I did at length and was more than happy to continue to supply evidence.I was also asked to have a series of paperwork signed by my direct manager supporting my evidence. This I did. I also had the General Managers signature of the company I worked also provide evidence of my experience. I was told this would be checked through and all being right I would recieve my certificate within a further six weeks. Not so at all. Elise Training suggested suggested that I would not have a problem. The training company Spectrum suggested that my completed modules did not match their training module codes. even though the modules I had completed were far more in depth and completed with a national peak body orginization.Yes I had the prior learning and experience beyond the course I was applying for. To date I have not revieved my certificate so I cannot work in disability sector until I do. I am currently out of pocket 1.500 dollars. This was my surprise!I will be updating my review with helpful hints and suggestions for people who may find it helpful to make a very big choice that will immediately affect your future. Who to train with! associated costs and questions that should be first clarified in writing to prevent any miscommunication pre and post commitment. Thanks so much Spectrum Victoria for getting back to me. It is much appreciated..Thankyou Cara in administration Queensland office for your prompt responses and assistance provided.Richard.1. Google your training orginization and see what current and former students and employees experiences were like.2. Always ask for anything said to be documented, this is the agreement you are entering into, you do not want supprise endings and there is always something that will go unexpectedRequest for a face to face interview this may assist an assessment officer a more complete method of evaluating your qualification and depth of ability and working knowledge

Spectrum is an unprofessional organisation. There help programs are fake. They pretend to help others. But they only want to benefit themselves by asking the participants to create thank you video.what a shame.
