Kenya Cottage

We chose Kenya Cottage for its central position of the north part of the island. We completed day trips visiting nearly every place depending on the weather.The cottage has everything just like home. Kitchen supplied condiments for cooking. A great breakfast basket was waiting for us on arrival. It's a very short stroll to the town centre. The cottage has WiFi, Netflicks, DVD 's for those wet cold afternoons. This cottage is beautiful and warm. This place is a must stay.

We stayed at Kenya Cottage in early spring, when the many flowers around the cottage were in full bloom. Beautiful! There is a nice window by the dining table that has a pleasant outlook into the garden. It was down to -3C our first night and I wondered whether we would be able to stay warm. No problem! There are plenty of doonas, electric heaters, and a wonderful, large wood-burning stove with fan to really pump out the warmth. The thing that really impressed me was the fact that all the knives were razor sharp, with an excellent knife sharpener in the kitchen drawer. So many other places we have stayed have a shoddy collection of dull knives that leaves me continually frustrated. The kitchen was very well equipped, with everything we needed. The cottage is just a block away from the river, with a lovely walk through the sculpture park, many water birds, and one of Australia's best collection of mature California Redwood trees.

Beautiful cottage with everything you need. Highly recommend it.

we loved Kenya cottage it had great facilities and was very clean. the highlight was a well stocked open fire. Deloraine is a very pretty town with lots of interesting things to see and do. Kenya cottage was close to the main street and was close to the main street of town. we would recommend the cottage to all
