Daylesford Hotel

I recently visited this restaurant on the 15th of June, hoping to have a pleasant dining experience with three guests and our service dog. However, we were appalled by the treatment we received from the staff member at the front entrance.Upon arrival, we were denied entry without any clear explanation or reason provided. Our service dog was clearly identifiable with a service coat and is registered with the Commonwealth of Australia as a legitimate service animal. We have always respected and followed the guidelines and regulations regarding service animals, ensuring they are well-behaved and pose no disruption to public spaces.It is both disheartening and disconcerting to encounter such discrimination towards individuals with disabilities who rely on service animals for their daily functioning. Service animals are trained to assist and support individuals, and they should be treated with the same respect and consideration as any other guest.The staff member's actions displayed a complete lack of empathy, understanding, and awareness of the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities. Such behavior is simply unacceptable, especially in a public establishment that should uphold inclusivity and provide equal access to all patrons.We had been looking forward to dining at this restaurant, but due to this appalling experience, we were left with a bitter taste in our mouths. Discrimination against individuals with disabilities, especially those who depend on service animals, should never be tolerated.

Really good food - parma and Roo were the standout! It was the long weekend and the place was packed but the kitchen and floor staff managed the situation really well. Amazing they could still give guests the smile while things were operating at one thousand miles per hour! Thank you so much!

This was a restaurant experience not accom. Great service, great food. Well priced. Excellent atmosphere. Live music Saturday night was a bonus.The karate pictures on the wall is a nice quirky touch. Loved them !!

We Only Eat at restaurant ( did not stay at the hotel accommodation), was terrible food and poor serviceQuality of food did not match price.If they offer you table 9" refuse.This is literally right next to service kitchen door

Such a disappointing experience. Had to clear our own table. My meal arrived about 10 minutes after my friend had eaten hers. (No apology). I had to go in search of cutlery. Friends fish & chips were lovely. My chillie muscles were....Ok. the bread was literally dripping in oil, so it was inedible. Would not recommend or return

Nice looking place, however the food is bad. Got 3 scotch filets and all 3 were cooked badly. Had to replace them and even then they overcooked them. Seafood linguine was also bad as it didn't have much taste in it and was plain, salmon had bones so I was picking them from it. Garlic bread had no garlic taste and was very oily.

We had lunch yesterday. The 19.99$ lunch menu is great. We had fish and chips, schnitzel with mashed potato and chicken burger and a drink each. The food took a little while to come but we were satisfied by the quantities and taste. Everything was fresh. We wanted ketchup but had to pay so we didn't get. Staff very friendly.

Reviewing the bistro restaurant. Absolutely amazing restaurant and terrific service...we are vegetarians and we were surprised to see quite a few choices. The Gnocchi was very well done and the pumpkin pizza was very moist. The garlic bread was unique and we couldn't stop eating it. Portion sizes were good. The highlight was the Sticky date pudding...it's a must have if you are in Daylesford....great ambience, awesome service and yummy food...keep it up
