North Shore Coaching College

My daughter was struggling with writing and as a result was low on confidence. We started at North Shore Coaching College around 5 months ago and the results have been amazing. Her NAPLAN results that were wonderful, but more importantly, the self esteem, confidence, and passion towards learning have been nurtured.

I wanted to share my experience with North Shore in Chatswood. We enrolled our daughter for math tutoring, the enrolment was efficient and all worked well. I think it is well organised. My daughter struggles with math, the reason we enrolled her as she needs extra support. However the level and explanations they provided during the 1.5 hour a week were too advanced for her, she didn't understand it. The practice exams they did was beyond the level they teach at school and the explanations not at the level where weaker students can follow it. If you are after further improving your marks, go for it, however if you are a weak student and look for some additional math support then there are better options out there.

We were recommended North Shore Chatswood by a friend who has seen a big improvement in her son’s confidence in Maths and Reading since starting tutoring there. My child really enjoyed the programs which really surprised me!

My son started NS coaching since late kindy and he was a struggled little child, he is now in year 2. Yesterday, I told him this is the end of term and last session because he is very good at school works now and we can spend more time exploring other activities. He was devastated, told me he loves doing worksheets and really enjoyed his time at the coaching school that he does not want to stop going. I hereby thank for all support from his tutors who made learning attractive and fun.

This place has helped me greatly with my skills. The staff there were really friendly and supportive towards me.

I am fortunate to be tutored by North Shore Coaching College. Before taking the classes, I really struggled to keep up with my classmates in English. My writing skills have improved considerably. Two years ago I was one of the lowest students in English but I have really risen to the top. I have received an offer from one of the top selective schools in the state. THANK YOU ALL!

Waste of money.This place has zero understanding of preschool age children interests and needs and have zero willingness to help / teach children to achieve their very best potential and this place does not value the uniqueness of each child and does jot tailor for individual goals and programs, stay away, save your money and most importantly your time and save your self a bitter / sad moment .

I would have given negative score if this option is available. The middle aged Korean receptionist at Chatswood branch (on Archer Street) was extremely rude. It seemed she didn't want to do business at all as evidenced by the below:1. Was unwilling to answer potential customer's questions at first as she was playing on her mobile phone;2. After being asked 2-3 times over the glass counter, she finally invited the potential customer to her office and had a quick chat.3. She wasn't helpfully at answering the questions about the basic information of classes and was off the point in several cases. After being asked twice about the same question as her answer was not to the point, questions such as what's the experience of the teacher and their background; what will kids be able to achieve after 10 sessions of the class, this receptionist was so impatient that she became so rude at responding to the customer and implying she didn't want to do business.

Miss Wales is terrible and mean. Not good person to be teaching with this attitude. Very disappointing.

As a student who used to attend North Shore Coaching College Chatswood, after reading all the reviews with the negative feedback, I think those are not true. The teachers at the North Shore are marvellous! For example, Ms Haywood was my English teacher for one term, and she was very beneficial with teaching plus the math teachers (forgot their names) who also are very salutary at demonstrating how the functions or equations work. As a result of my English and Maths level had been developed drastically with their teaching methods. Thanks to them that I was able get into selective and did great in a new circumstance.Therefore, I highly recommend this to anyone who seeks to improve their academic performance and selective placement.
