Armadale Landfill and Recycling facility

Closed the other day due to hot extreme weather,fair enough,went back two days later in the morning and still closed,rang the tip no ,which goes through to an Armadale council recording that basically says nothing,so what happens now ?? So what just keep taking trips there in the hope they open because the phone no is useless.In this modern world I'm sure it wouldn't have been difficult to sort a solution from there side for example a recorded message ..........

Just wanted to post this review to say that I am shocked at the level of customer service I received today at the Armadale Landfill. Went to drop off some cardboard boxes and the woman at the counter said we have to drive out flatten the boxes and take out and packing material. Fine no probmems. Drove out took out the packaging and drove back in with the packaging sealed in small plastic bag. Not good enough for her, she then said your wife needs to stand outside the tip with the plastic bag and wait. Are you kidding me? It's about to start raining and you're asking my wife who is pregnant to wait outside the tip entry because we aren't paying a $46 pass for the tiny plastic bag of packing material which we just told you we are happy to take home. She then replies in a condescending voice well you better be quick then". Yes I understand you get people coming through who don't do the right thing but there's no need to treat every customer like a criminal and speak to them in a condescending tone. If you work in customer service you should be a friendly person who doesn't speak down to customers. First timer dropping stuff at the tip and I've left with a bad taste in my mouth. I'll go elsewhere next time."

The new disposal system poses HUGE OH&S risks of injury not only to workers but to patrons. Dut of care is glaringly absent. General waste must now be lifted to hip height and thrown more than 600mm into a bin, and that just reaches the edge of the bin. I arrived to find a big sofa had been dumped in general waste bin leaving little or no room for my trailer load. No more pushing rubbish off the back of trailer. You are now required to lift, carry, brace yourself then heave and hopefully get it IN the bin. Not everyone has the strength to lift and throw. The tip worker said he is not supposed to help unload which places a lot of moral conflict on him when he see the elderly or the less able struggling. This new system needs an urgent review!

Dropped by with my rubbish, Process was very straight forward and all the attendants at the landfill were very nice and helpful. Was quite an educational experience for my kids to see how rubbish lands up in a landfill.

Excellent customer service and we were able to find what we were looking for. Good place to help recycle furniture, electricals and more that are in good condition. Great range there as well. Prices are good as well.

I have used the place quite alot, well laid out and staff are great. The issue is the cost. It is ridiculously expensive, clearly a result of the usual inefficiency and incompetence of the council. Most certainly contributing to the noticeable increase in illegal dumping around Roleystone and surrounds. Posting just after hearing yet another truck dumping what sounded like rubble nearby tonight.

Was on the phone from 4pm to 4.23pm on hold, only to be told the office is unmanned and I need to call during business hours 8.30am to 5PM. Utter laziness. It's usually good in person, gate lady always smiles, staff are friendly but this really annoyed me. Also one of the cleanest, well organised tips I've seen.

Thanks for wasting my time and moneyHired a ute and trailer (around $140) for a tip runThey were closed due to the temperature. (Completely understandable)But...They knew this for over a week and never mentioned anything on your sites, everything said it was open. Please inform people so you don't waste their time/moneyt's a pathetic effort on your behalf (It is not difficult to update a website saying'Sorry for your inconvenience, we will be closed the following days

The customer service representative at the weighbridge apparently was having a bad day as there was no greetings or a smile as it would be expected even to reply back my greeting at least! Away from that, she guided me to where I am suppose to go.Also, it is notable if you have a quick look at the reviews that I am not the first one who got the same experience in this place!The place is well organised though, however they need some training to improve their employee's customer service skills.Smiling & Greetings" are these too hard!"
