Allan Ross Mechanical Repairs

I Took my car around 6 months ago to get fixed. They replaced the water pump that was making a strange noise. Had it serviced 1 month ago and they noted that everything was fine. The other day took my car to another mechanic for an inspection only to find that the water pump was leaking and has been for some time.Why didn't the mechanics at Allan Ross pick up on this? Was it because the part was still in warranty and didn't want to replace it?I had lube mobile out to replace it ($480 later which I shouldn't have had to pay If the Allan Ross mechanics did their job) The seal around the water pump was corroded, something that should never happen after six months. I called Allan Ross and explained the issue, they were not going to replace it instead it was going to cost another $370 to get a new one. Why would I get a new one from you if the part I got was faulty and you won't admit to it. A seal on a water pump should last years, not start to fall apart after probably 4 months. And within that 4 months you done a service on it and everything was fine". The part was either old or faulty and the Allan Ross mechanics never found this issue? I find that hard to believe. Sad to say I will not be returning if they are using old parts."

My visit today was great. They were kind enough to do a blue slip inspection quicker than they promised and get me in and out and on my way. Service is friendly and helpful. Would most certainly recommend this business, the mechanic was especially professional and friendly. I can see why they are always busy.

Rang and booked an appointment over a week ago then showed up to lady had no clue I was coming, was extremely rude then made me wait over 2 hours to look for all of 1 minute to give up and tell me maybe come another day when some1 can look

The lady singing on the front desk deserves 5 stars just for how comfortable she made me feel.Being a female I find it quite anxious going to a mechanic and feel I will be ripped off and she explained what the costs would be before putting my car in at short notice.The mechanics were friendly, fixed my car and it didn't cost an arm and a leg.It was exactly what the lady quoted me.Honest, affordable and friendly service.
