This local favourite has to be the best kept secret in Sydney. The beautifully rendered flavours, the warm and generous hospitality, the grace and kindness of the service keep me coming back again and again. And the wine offerings are superlative. Count yourself lucky if you can get a booking.

This is a must try in the Eastern Suburbs. This little restaurant is impeccable. From the service, the ambience and THE FOOD! The flavours are delicious. Asian fusion at its best. My favourites are the John Dory curry and the spicy eggplant. You must try a cocktail. The margarita is one of the best I’ve had. Perfectly balanced. Be warned you might have a second or a third (sorry it was too good I didn’t get a photo). Oh and dessert. I just tried the new banana fritters. Nice and crunchy on the outside, smooth on the inside with burnt honeycomb. Yum! Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic hidden gem! Outstanding service found rarely these days, food was fresh and depth of flavour in all dishes was incredible, the dumplings and fish curry are a must! Thanks for a wonderful evening!

I went to dinner here with a friend and a few others as it looked nice .Unfortunately the place is a disappointment. They charge $42 for the refillable bottles of cold tap water we needed while waiting for our meal as it was a hot night , and as it took three hours to get fed , we went through a lot of water .We were told we had to have a fixed menu as there were a few of us .The fixed menu was $90 a head and just three entrees and two mains. If we ordered all our own entree and main though, so say 5 entrees and 5 mains ,it would have been less for more , the charging made no sense .When trying to understand how this could be so , the owner was dismissive and rude and wouldn’t explain and said he was too busy to talk about it.We waited 3 hours to get fed while others arrived after us , were fed and then left . I tried to raise this with the owner after we paid the bill as we were leaving, Again he was indifferent, dismissive and didn’t acknowledge any of what I was upset about, at no time seemed at all interested .The place is a rip off , inconsistent in its food service and ill mannered owner .So a quick casual dinner out locally , with 1 bottle of wine and a few beers and expensive tap water , was over $600 .I guess it’s just that he has a peasant mentality. Won’t be going again .

Exceptional food and impeccable service! This restaurant truly knows how to deliver an outstanding dining experience. The flavors of each dish were simply amazing, make sure to get the Pandan waffles! The staff was attentive and friendly, making me feel welcomed and well taken care of. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable culinary adventure!

This is by far the most refined restaurant of the area.I have been walking past for months and always wanted to try.Asian fusion food with great quality products. The service is really good and the tables outside very pleasant in the evening.We all shared dishes, as intended to be.All the dishes we ordered were perfectly cooked and presented. The flavours are spot on everytime and it really takes you to southeast Asia.Don't overlook the desserts they also deliver big time: the pandan crêpes were amazing.The only comment we had is the portions that can be a bit small for some dishes. Example one crepe for $14. We ordered a second one (because they were good)Hats off to the chef, we'll come back for sure.

Vans is a great local restaurant with a chilled vibe, friendly staff and outstanding food. Really interest cross section of Asian and European cuisine! The dumplings were amazing: could just eat those! The steamed fish was perfect and side greens perfectly cooked! The wine list is special and the owner passionate about the selection! Great night! Thank you!

I absolutely loved this restaurant at Clovelly. The food is delicious (especially the John Dory curry and the crispy spicy eggplant!!) and the service is very welcoming. Would recommend visiting this place for dinner!

I had an awesome experience at this restaurant. As someone who suffers from a peanut allergy, I was quite anxious to visit this restaurant. However, once telling the staff of my dietary requirements, the lovely manager ensured that the items I ordered did not contain any peanuts. The food was fresh and beautifully presented. The staff were super lovely as well. Definitely recommend!
