Teacher For A Day

After a long hiatus from teaching, I was ready to get back into the classroom but felt wobbly about those first substitute teaching days. The Teacher For a Day book gave me the confidence boost I needed. Think of it as an 'external hard-drive' choc-full of handy tricks and activities that are indeed somewhere in the depths of our teacher brain files but difficult to dust off. This is a MUST HAVE book for any substitute teacher or beginning teacher. A top-notch publication!

I recently returned to teaching after a very long break. Back I graduated I taught casual and then went into a full-time position and burnt out in 6 months. Now I’m back as a casual again and I have been using Teacher For a Day (Primary) every casual day I teach. I was so nervous to return to teaching in primary schools. But TFAD is an absolute lifeline, particularly when no work is left. I always feel I have something to draw on and all that nervous panic is avoided. I say yes to the calls in the morning with confidence. I wish this resource was around when I graduated. Definitely worth the investment - best money I have spent. Thank you Kelly!

Fantastic resource especially for graduate relief teachers. Kelly should run transition courses at Universities. The practical information, skills and guidance she provides is priceless.

Kelly's books are fantastic and very reasonably priced. After almost 30 years as a permanent classroom teacher, I am transitioning" to retirement and doing some casual teaching. I've only just purchased two book packs (a total of 8 books) and have already found many excellent lesson ideas and fabulous behaviour mangement strategies. I feel much more relaxed and well-prepared for my next casual day."

I have just graduated and spent hours researching different resources to begin relief teaching. After finding this book recommendation on relief teaching group I am glad i purchased it. It takes all the stress out of collecting resources to cover so many different year levels. I have suggested to all my friends who are still at uni they purchase this book to help with practical experiences. I wish I found this book sooner.
