Karoonda Tourist Park

Had 2 nights at this council run caravan park. Cost was an amazing $15 per night for power and water and access to a roomy shower and toilet. Grounds are well kept. The camp kitchen was a surprise with microwave, toaster and kettle. Inside also had a couple of solid bbq tops and a fridge. Well lit for tables and chairs and a pleasant sitting area outside undercover also. Highly recommend.

Excellent small caravan park.Plenty of room on all sites. Good amenities. Close to town and shops.Very relaxing place.

Stayed on a drive through shaded powered site. Beautiful and serene surroundings. Toilet/ shower are excellent (love the large shower head). Well maintained site. Will definitely be back to see more of the beautiful town.

What a surprising town! The Silo Art is fantastic, and you must go back after 8pm to see the light presentation - it is very special. The Caravan Park is extremely well presented and at $15 for a powered and water site it is an absolute bargain. And the many other surrounding attractions make it a great place to visit.

Excellent camping site. The landscaping design is very impressive, it’s the nicest we’ve seen in SA. The caravan sites are located adjacent to the Memorial Oval and it’s a beautiful sight to wake up to. The bathrooms are reasonably clean and kept, maybe a fan on top of the shower would be handy.The camp kitchen is really good and I just love the modern minimalistic design. I would only recommend to have a bin inside the kitchen to empty the sink waste and maybe a paper towel dispenser, I know it’s an extra expense but that’s something that could be completely optional, it’s not a deal breaker. Everything still gets a ten out of ten, we loved Karoonda, great little shops, great playground and impressive silo art.I’m not a quilter but I would definitely recommend driving to Karoonda for all your quilting supplies… I’ve never seen such a wide selection of fabrics and tools, forget about the big brand names, they have nothing on this amazing shop. Definitely worth the trip for a relaxing quiet holiday with everything you could need at hand.

Such a great place. Seriously $15/night power and water. We had trouble booking online but a trip t o the shire office got it sorted.

Overnight stop at Karoonda to see the silos at night and free camping was only for self contained vans, which ours is not, so ended up at the caravan park. So glad we did! Great amenities, easy walk to the silos, and only $15. Definitely recommend.

I stayed in one of the eco cabins last night, it was great ... very clean and spacious. Perfect for a disabled person. The cabin is called Pioneer. Visited to look at the night projections of art. Will most definitely be back again.

Great little spot to stay for either a short or long trip with no shortage of things to see. Nice clean functional bathrooms (wish the shower pressure was a little higher but still nice) a beautiful new camp kitchen and a really nice grass area to play on.
