Vibrant and cozy Japanese bar with a fun collection of kids toys. Lots of decent Japanese whisky stashed though a bit pricey for those who favours quality drinks instead of the soda highballs.

すごい?! I never expected to find an authentic Japanese standing bar in Crows Nest, but that's literally what Tachimomi is with one exception: being in Australia there are chairs for people to sit down instead of stand. Serving light Japanese bar food with happy hour draft beer and good saké menu. 乾杯!

Super tiny, authentic local Japanese stand-up bar in Crow's Nest. Come here for Japanese tap beers, whiskey and cool range of bento boxes and snacks. The pork belly and salt Koji chicken are awesome!

A great Japanese bar with a large assortment of Japanese alcohol and Japanese snacks. The staff are super friendly and add to the relaxed and fun atmosphere. Also there are a lot of board games to play.A fun place to go and have drinks on the weekend. Highly recommended.

Cosy little Japanese bar with great vibes. Food was surprisingly ok considering most of it was not freshly cooked. Katsu curry was definitely the highlight. Pork belly was tasty but not really worth $11. Salt kogi chicken very salty and a little bland. I'd come back for a drink and ramen (only after 9pm)

I was very unimpressed with the service and food here, went to this place because of the high rating. Ordered a Tonkotsu ramen, it was the smallest portion size I have ever had for any ramen, only one flimsy piece of tonkotsu served in lukewarm soup, noodles are soggy as well. Spent $16 and felt like I’ve barely eaten. It looks like there is only one waitress and she was rude. Recommend to steer clear if you wanted to go for good Japanese food or service.

Visited two new ramen place this week and coincidentally both turned into licensed bars after 5pm.Ramen Shinzu only opens for lunch Mon to Wed from 11am to 2pm. You only have one option on the menu, I.e their Tonkotsu Ramen. This place is managed by a Team-of-One, hence a slightly longer wait for the food. I can assured you, it’s worth the wait.Service is amazing, you get greeted by the cook while he is cooking and later serving you in between clearing the table. As for the ramen, you get a medium rich broth that you know that has been stewing for hours and days. The ramen is served with a juicy slice of chasu that is flame torched in front of you. All this for a princely sum of $12. Amazing value !!If you work or live around the Crows Nest area, this is a must try restaurant that you cannot missed. I planned to back here for lunch once a week :)

I work in Tokyo and this place is just like so many Izakaya’s in Japan. Staff are very attentive, Oriôn beers are amazing and whilst I haven’t tried the food I’m sure it’s great. They also have real lemon sours, best I’ve found in Aus, if you haven’t tried before definitely give them a go. Also happy hour is a real win!
