Bottomless Brunch is a misnomer. You can have whatever you like as long as you pay for it as per menu price. The fixed price doesn’t seem to exist.No mention of the 10% weekend surcharge on the Bottomless Brunch web page either. Then again, we didn’t get Bottomless anything.Maybe the T&Cs are invalid given “Cru only takes bookings and payments via our reservations page for Bottomless Brunch”. No bookings over the phone or email accepted” … shame the online reservation system doesn’t work and you’re told to call.Very disappointed and feeling hustled.

First time eating here for a family lunch. Can't fault the service, location or atmosphere. Really friendly, helpful and accommodating service.The all-day breakfast menu is better than the lunch menu, in my opinion. Waffles are really drowned with chocolate - super decadent and tasty! Eggs are all tasty, as are drinks. Didn't really like the duck lasagne, unfortunately - maybe I exhorted something different. Steaks are nicely done and the chips are nicely seasoned. Limited menu. Seems really popular, so has a strong local base.

Book in and eat up. The king fish tartar was fresh and delicious. pappardelle with blue swimmer crab yum. And fresh homemade gelato mmmmm happy tam. Of course with had alot more which all just as yum. And great cocktail and wine selection. Go enjoy cosy in winter and expands in summer.Great great attentive but not interrupted service. My favourite type. Thanks to whole crew.

Lovely little cafe/restaurant that's hidden away from most of the other eateries in Hawthorn.I loved the different sections of the restaurants you can sit, the front area is probably the smallest space and it leads to the back with two separate sections, both with roofs over your head and heaters for the colder says which is extremely important for a place like Melbourne.I personally prefer the back outdoor area because it feels a lot more spacious and filled with wooden benches and greenery growing up the wall.I highly recommend the squid ink linguine with the king prawns! It smelt absolutely amazing before we even started on it. The pasta was full of flavour itself, not just from the sauce and they were generous with the prawns in the dish.The hot cakes we ordered seemed more like pancakes, the texture was on the denser side but because they weren't overly thick pancakes, I didn't mind it.I really enjoyed the caramelised bananas on top and went well with the ice cream also !Definitely would come back again to get the pasta and again, and keen to try some of the other dishes.

All round very enjoyable experience, I had the risotto of the day with goat cheese which was surprisingly light and not heavy like risotto can sometimes be. My partner had fish of the day- . Red Wine by the glass was a little pricey (15-17$) but enjoyable. Shared desert was the most delicious panna cotta with a delicate earl-grey flavour and crumbled biscuit. They have a quiet narrow dining hall in addition to the main dining room makes for an intimate evening. The wait staff were excellent.

I have been here a few times, and it just gets better and better. The food is inventive, interesting and delicious. The culinary influences are Mediterranean and Asian. There is a good range of Australian and European wines, some conveniently offered in 450 ml carafes as well as in bottles and glasses. There is a pleasant exterior courtyard, both under cover and out, as well as the inside tables by the bar. Dining is very flexible, with long opening hours including Sundays, and all day dining. Service is efficient and friendly.

We’ve been twice in the last week, and booked the second time because the food and experience were both so good. First time, seated in front. Yesterday in the (rustic)Shed out the back, the front looked as though it had a large group booking. We weren’t told through the online booking that this would happen. Same dishes served on cast iron oven dishes, really not as good. Make sure you’re there on a quieter day, then it is brilliant. (Honesty was asked for, honest review given)
