Sole Saver Shoe Repairs

Completely incompetent - my shoes are now more broken than before.I brought my shoes in for a simple stitch or glue of a leather strap. When I returned on the agreed upon day they had not repaired my shoes. Instead, they seem to have ripped the damage further, and also ripped the second shoe (that was initially in fine condition). No attempt was made to fix the simple problem. I am genuinely shocked at how terrible my experience was with this business.I will be taking my shoes to someone else who is able to fix the additional damage done by Sole Saver Shoe Repairs.

My partner took a pair of boots to Sole Saver Shoe Repairs on Adelaide Street in Brisbane after reading the many good reviews.The boots were left at the shop and picked up as agreed upon after repair. Everything looked fine and the repair appeared to look good, however, when the boots were worn they didn't feel right, were very uncomfortable, quite painful to wear and of course taken back to see if something could be done to rectify the problem.Upon returning to the Sole Savers and explaining the issue the reception wasn't so friendly. It was agreed that he would have a look and try and fix the problem and when asked they could be picked up he bluntly statednext week"Upon returning a week later and inquiring about the boots the answer received was "no they are not ready

Worst shoe repair I have ever experienced. My shoes were in worse condition than before I brought them in. They were stained in yellow glue which, within minutes of leaving the shop, became unstuck. It wasn’t worth a cent never mind $25.

Michael is an amazing person who will bend over backwards to make a customer happy. He's re-soled several pairs of boots and work shoes over the years and his quality is excellent.

Michael has been saving my soles for over a decade!He knows his craft inside out, he remembers his clients and always greets with a bit of friendly banter and NEVER stops working.I'm a personal stylist and trust him implicitly with all my shoes, especially the designer pieces that I would never give to anyone else! Don't take your expensive pair of heels to this shop!Alas what a disappointment. I was visiting Brisbane, and my heel tip came off of Jimmy Choo Anouk 120mm one night. I read positive reviews on here and called in advance to make sure that he could repair JC heel tips.Basically what happened is that this guy broke the heel tips because he didn't properly/carefully pulled them out, leaving the metal pins stuck inside. His excuse was basically that the heel tips were hollow and he told me to take them back to JC. Obviously he hasn't seen the JC's hollow heel tips before and doesn't know how to carefully remove them without breaking it.When I got back in Sydney I took them to a few cobblers to get 2nd and 3rd opinions to give this guy the benefit of the doubt but everyone said whoever tried to remove the heel tips broke them.Now I'm sending them back to JC in England for a repair which would cost me 5x what it should have been.

I've used Sole Saver several times to re-sole Goodyear-welted business shoes and have always been delighted with the results. Michael is one of the few craftsmen who still do this in Brisbane and I can unreservedly recommend him. Judging from a handful of poor reviews, I can only assume they had unrealistic expectations of repairs to cheaper quality shoes. But if you buy quality footwear and want to make it last, check our Sole Saver.

Was told my boots were beyond repair by another business after I trashed the high heels at a concert. Soul Savers saved the day, repairing better than new! I was also surprised at how reasonable the price was. Super friendly service as well!
