Geoff did our garden installation just over a year ago. We went with him predominantly because his quote was attractive and included what we were after for a very competitive price compared to other landscapers. Unfortunately, this meant the job was not done to the standard we were promised.The retaining walls are wonky, the soil was not adequately prepared before commencing work (cement and clay build up was all throughout our garden after our new build and this wasn't fixed before planting), my veggie garden wasn't irrigated (despite this being discussed), and we have had countless issues with our lawn and are now getting the lawn irrigation replaced entirely (despite only being in for a year!). Our lawn was put directly on top of sand and irrigation piping, which means it is punctured easily, has terrible water pressure and is not reaching all lawn areas. Having to replace this a year after being installed is incredibly upsetting and wasteful.Geoff was initially pleasant to deal with, and did make some efforts to rectify some of our issues. As the issues increased however, we had to employ another landscaper to fix areas.To summarise:Pros: competitive quote, lighting/retaining/irrigation was all included, was done quickly, paving by Ed was very well done and was fixed when it sunk due to rain, installed our gazebo for usCons: poor quality, difficult to communicate about issues and get things fixed, irrigation is extremely poorly executed and needs replacingIf you are after a cost effective, small and quick garden job then you're probably safe going with Garden Design Solutions. But after having so many issues (and my sister also having had GDS do her garden and having multiple issues), I feel compelled to write a review.
