Harvey Norman Moore Park
I was six weeks away from finishing a PhD when my Desktop died suddenly. What could have been a stressful experience was made much easier by the team at Harvey Norman computer section in Moore Park. I purchased an amazing slim HP desktop with i7 at a very reasonable price. I do not think any retailer in Sydney could have matched this price, for such an excellent computer. Cody in sales was friendly and knowledgeable. He listened to what I needed for work and made sure I had the right cables for two monitors. Within a few hours I was up and running. The staff at the store were generally excellent. Thanks again!

Historically, I have had good experiences with HV which is why I have been a customer for over 25 years. This all changed recently when I had the worst after sales experience after purchasing a new washing machine from their Moore Park store. I rang the store and spoke to salesperson, Nick. He was pleasant, efficient, and organised the next day delivery which included removing my hold washing machine and connecting the new one. That’s where my positive experience ended, and my nightmare began. Firstly, the delivery drivers arrived just before the delivery window closing time and were in an obvious rush and keen to get out of my place asap. They seemed clueless regarding how to connect the out pipe to my new machine. When they finished, I was concerned because the hose didn’t look like it had been attached properly. I asked them if they would test the connection before they left. They said they didn’t have time but said I could run a cycle and test it myself. One of them started the cycle before they left. Within less than 10 minutes, I hear a gush of water to find the bathroom flooded and water pouring out of the out pipe. I immediately rang them on the number they used to call me earlier that morning, but they did not answer. I rang twice and I left a message (which they never returned). I then called HV at Moore Park and spoke with manager Atila. Atila advised me the drivers could not return as “they were already out of area” and the best he could do was to have them return the next day. I had a major issue with this for 2 reasons: 1. They could not have even gotten further than the first traffic lights let alone been “out of area” so I did not accept this excuse; 2. I work for myself so taking time off work means loss of income. I found Atila unsympathetic to the difficulties in cancelling work when you run your own business. Mind you, this all happened at 1pm so there was plenty of time for someone to return that day. They didn’t because it was an inconvenience to them, not caring that their incompetence is a huge inconvenience to the customer. Also, Atila was adamant that he did not have to refund me the delivery fee as he was arranging a solution (i.e. having someone return the next day). I was gobsmacked by this ridiculous logic. I reminded him that I had paid for next day delivery and connection, and this is not what I received. Atila would not budge on this issue so I contacted the general manager, Rob Nelson. Initially Rob was very sympathetic and could not understand why the issue was not resolved on the day. Rob contacted Atila and made sure that I would be refunded the delivery fee and that a new set of drivers would come to my place the next morning before work (before 9am). This would allow me to still go to work without cancelling my appointments. Note, I was doubly assured that the same drivers would not be back. To my shock, at 8:55am the SAME drivers showed up. When I opened the door, they stormed past me to the washing machine, looked at the out pipe and declared there was nothing they could do and stood there with their hands on their hips. When I asked them why they came back if they couldn’t do anything, one of them began yelling at me, and when I told him not to raise his voice at me, he told me to “f#$*k off! At this, I told him to get out of my place, and followed him out the door. He kicked my walls and door on his way out. I went back inside to the remaining one who simply said he could not connect the machine without “a part.” However, he could not tell me what this part was and why he didn’t mention this when he was there the day before. More phone calls ensued to HV. Rob then arranged for a plumber to connect the machine. This meant I had to cancel my whole day of work waiting for the plumber. NB: the plumber told me a plumber wasn’t necessary to do the job, just “someone with a bit of brains.” I could say so much more about this nightmare experience but there’s a word limit on google reviews. In a nutshell: HN is not the store it once was. Stay well away.

There was a mishap with my bed, different size mattress and base arrived. These things happen. For me its all about how things are treated to fix a mistake. I've got to say, I was blown away. I dealt with the same person throughout to get it sorted (Allison in Moorepark), she was responsive, helpful, kept me updated, super friendly and damn, at times she was the one following me up. Whatever you guys do in your customer service department- keep doing it and a big thank you to awesome Allison. Keep it up!

Wish It was possible to give minus! This Harvey Norman branch is a fraud! They are just using the reputable name without being a part of the organisation. Apart from that, the so called manager Jarrod has no social skills or logic to understand his customers’ concerns. I believe, running a business is not only about counting the coins at the end of the day, sometimes you need to make sacrifices to remain credible especially when the business is at fault. A friend of mine purchased a table from this branch and it took 3 months for the order to get delivered. Jarrod was absolutely impractical in solving the issue by keep saying that he does understand their frustration and he is sorry. But is that really all a manager of a reputable store can do?!??? Will definitely tell all my friends and family to avoid this branch since it’s a fraud and they will sell you things that they don’t have in stock. In addition, this branch is a franchise and you cannot even escalate your concerns to the head office.

So disappointed in Harvey Norman. Used them to put hybrid floors in our apartment. We had someone come out to check what floors they were removing and take measurements for our final quote. He made it seem like a really straight forward job and the quote came through as reasonable given we went with a reputable brand like Harvey Norman.The floors were booked in quick and the team turned up to do the job. Can’t fault the floor guys, but we quickly realised the guy that came to do our measurements and quote and had made out how easy it would be, was completely wrong. He thought our existing floors were Laminate but they were timber, he said we wouldn’t need a step between the kitchen and the lounge and we did. The floors were uneven so leveller was needed. Which we expected, but not the ENTIRE lounge and hall. Then for the pleasure they charged us an extra $3,700! Half of what we were already paying!Then after complaining about the above (and a long long list of other things) they kindly took $150 off!No real apology, all they said is they were out of pocket too so couldn’t give us a discount.So disappointed in the service and then how the complaint was managed. Wouldn’t recommended to anyone renovating a house or trying to stick to a budget, and will definitely be going elsewhere for my white goods from now on.

So I went to buy several items from Harvey Norman, Moore park in December 2022. When I walked into the electronic section on level 2 I noticed at least 1staff members floating around. I had an inquiry relating to an item and a credit question. I approached at least 15 staff member's to ask a simple question. The answers I got from staff not knowing to a staff member telling me - what are looking at me" I eventually had a staff member approach me that could help. I'm not impressed with the lack of customer services and the lack of staff helpfulness.Regards

My mum purchased over $30,000 worth of brand new furniture from the Harvey Norman Moore Park store late in September 2022 for her brand new home. The delivery date changed drastically from October, receiving our items closer to January 2023. Upon receiving various pieces of furniture which were advertised as brand new and paid for at brand new price, we found that they were damage and notified the store directly. We sent numerous photos and were very unhappy. A supposedly “brand new” Buffet worth $4600 arrived scratched and with loose hinges, Harvey Norman sent out a tradesmen who coloured the scratches in with a marker. Jarod told her that they would follow up as we were not satisfied with the repair in order to resolve the issue and we are still yet to hear from Harvey Norman.Update 18/05 After leaving my review to no surprise I was assured the issues would be rectified. Ally has been very helpful in assisting us, whereas Jarrod should look to improve his customer service skills, I would suggest further training could help improve his attitude.

Good place .. be cariful when you buy samting.. We bought meny things and every thing is broken in 6 mount .. and then during fixing them I bought google chromcast it was brocken and they changed me .. also broken .. one button in the remote does not work .. I won’t go to change it anymore .. who knows what will be broken in the new:)
