Builders are only as good as the trades they contract to the job and this builder contracts the worst of the worst as too save of bucks and get top dollar out of you, poor poor poor poor poor, never again and i tell everyone

Steve's team built our acreage property in New Beith and having just had our 6 monthly maintenance report we couldn't be happier. My wife and I both like the idea that no-one else has the same house as ours, being completely custom-made. This of course means a lot of decision-making, but despite being novices we were given great guidance and shown a lot of patience.The quality of the build is excellent, even my building inspector brother-in-law couldn't fault them and having seen the heartache some of my neighbours have gone through I'm really happy we haven't had to worry. During the build, there was excellent communication and I felt greatly reassured by the fact that Steve uses basically the same tradies on every job. I was able to contact them directly to discuss specifics and was allowed on site whenever I wanted.

Best builder were have come across. We built two homes with Steve and his crews and wanted to build another with him but could not because we moved to an area outside his territory. We are finding it difficult to source another builder because we trusted Steve and are worried about finding someone just as good down at the coast. The two houses Steve Parcell built for us were beautiful and served us well, sold so easily and for a good price because of the quality of them, and he is reasonably priced. Just gives that little bit extra to make sure it is a 'quality job.'

Steve built our home 7 years ago and it was such a no hassle experience. If we needed something moved added or changed it was no trouble. The building manager was so approachable. We have just sold it and are about to build again with Steve, and the quality was what helped us to sell in 3 weeks of listing the house for sale. The buyers couldn’t stop commenting on the quality of the fixtures fittings and appliances, as did the building and pest inspector. Lovely to build with and highly recommend.

Built with Steve Parcell 5 years ago. Very happy with entire process and team. Being able to regularly access the site and meet all the tradesmen involved was fantastic. We would happily build with them again in the future.

Had a terrible experience as the neighbour to a block of land Steve Parcell building services was building on.The contractors built a retaining wall which encroached 300mm into my property. Multiple footings encroached. I contacted Steve Parcell himself who was dismissive, argumentative and completely unhelpful.I told him I was trying to come to a civil compromise and requested that he trim back the concrete retaining wall footings. That or I would take him to QCAT and his retaining wall would be removed as it was illegally encroaching on my property. Steve said “I’ll win, take me to court”.He eventually changed his tune when it was reported to Brisbane City Council and his engineer was told they were in the wrong. He was unhelpful throughout the whole process.Eventually he agreed to trim back the footings, but did not arrange for any contractors to do this on the day despite having multiple weeks’ notice and claiming he had arranged contractors to attend.His incompetence was clearly going to delay my new home build and cause me further expenses. I ended up sacrificing some of my land due to the encroachment.Absolutely horrible experience, he was arrogant, condescending and thought he was in the right despite having no knowledge of the law. Would recommend others steer clear of him.He never apologised or attempted to rectify his sloppy work, it was up to me to arrange everything- I spent days and days calling his engineer, him and his receptionists. It should have been his job to fix the problem, but he simply did not care.The whole experience ruined what was meant to be an enjoyable time building my first home.

Built with steve 2 years ago.I spent many years in the building game which worried me about building a home.But that was all put at ease from the sales team right through to the building crew that he uses. Nothing was trouble and they worked with my indecisiveness over the whole build. The quality was second to none as well the products and brands used. Value for money I don't see to many companies beating them. A work colleague built with a high quality turn over company and will never build with them again with the headaches he faced as well as my brother building and hating every minute of the experience he faced with another big builder.Definitely worth speaking to their team and putting them to the top 3 of your list, you will not be disappointed.If I build again I will not talk to anyone else.

Workmanship and quality fixtures, consistently rated above average by independent inspectors. 1 star off for a couple of dodgy subcontracted tradies who gave us endless headaches.
