Easter weekend and there was plenty of room. It's basically one big long beach where you can camp anywhere. There is a very clean and well kept toilet at one end and that's it! The water is perfectly calm and shallow for up to 100m out which would be perfect for camping with kids. We witnessed the most beautiful moon rise and then sun rise in the morning. Perfect.

Beach is OK but when the tide is out the actual shoreline is very far away and you can't risk driving on that wet sand where the tide will quickly consume. You'd need to walk probably 100 metres from your car to swim which is a bit much in the heat.Be careful and drive slow also because the rocks can be quite sharp in some areas. One of the cars with us blew two tyres simultaneously on one.The entrance and exit is also very soft so I wouldn't attempt it unless you have a 4x4 with low range capabilities.

One word describes this place...stunning!A high clearance 4WD is needed though as sand is very soft in sections.

A great beach to camp. Some very soft sand specially entrance to beach. Need to adjust tyre pressure 15-20 psi. There are some rocky areas on the mid tide line so be careful.

Great place to camp, must be self sufficient. Take your rubbish with you. A tinny would be great, water is shallow in close good for family's.

I won't tell you how great this place is. Photos say it all.4x4 only. Very sandy to get onto and off the beach, goodluck if your towing.Would be lots better if they put some money back into the area and build more toilets.

Absolutely incredible place to visit. Perfect for families with young kids and infants, couples and anyone looking to setup a beach chair in the water with a beer. During summer the water is very warm and shallow. The water reminds me of Bora Bora. You will need a 4WD to access Herald Bight though. If you go in summer you will not be disappointed. The water is flat no waves so paddle boarding or a kayak is essential.
