Tuross Lakeside Tourist Park
Camp kitchen filthy, wasn’t cleaned the whole time we were there, no detergent, ammenities hot & stuffy , no proper ventilation & only just clean. Drink machine & chocolate machines not working and no signs to say so…….On a very noisy road but beautiful river views & lovely big pool , owners need to step up & look after the place better !!!.

Very pretty peaceful place, staff very friendly, bed was comfy. However, the shower dripped constantly through the night no matter what we tried to do to stop it, the hair dryer kept shorting out and i was not able to finish drying my hair to go out for tea for fear of being electrocuted. But other than that not bad

Can't recommend highly enough! Great facilities, amazing outlook, gorgeous small park with amenities that punch way above their weight! Service goes above and beyond. In our visit, our initial campsites had to be closed so we were offered even better campsites(probably the best in the park) for no charge for our stay, to compensate for the inconvenience. Once we set up we felt guilty for not having to pay as there was no inconvenience at all and the sites were fabulous so we offered to pay however Management very generously refused to accept payment. All staff were friendly and helpful. The bulk of the people staying seemed to be regular returning visitors and I know why. We'll definitely be back. Thank you Tuross Lakeside Tourist park for a wonderful stay in your gorgeous park.

Why would you wait for some random to make a booking when you have someone with money in their pocket wanting to give you their business. This is not a socialist society.

Very peaceful pretty sites overlooking lake. Unfortunately amenities were dirty when we arrived with bandaids, mud (I hope it was mud) up sides of showers and toilet walls and unclean toilets. After 8 days of still no cleaning had to ask but not much cleaner afterwards. Not impressed

We've stayed here several times with close family. They really like it, as they have a boat and are keen on fishing. The location and view is great for that, and it's good for small children, being right on a scenic placid lake. But unfortunately the accommodation deteriorates further and further each time we stay, and is horrendously overpriced for what it is. The cabins are very dated and poorly maintained. The window in our bedroom is jammed shut. You never know what cooking facilities you'll get as I don't think any two of the same style of cabins are the same. We didn't even get a stove with an oven or grill this time, even though it was supposedly an upgrade from our last visit. The cabins are, more or less, kept relatively clean and tidy. Personally I would never choose to stay here and will never stay again if it's my choice. And they have the hide to advertise free WiFi as an inclusion. It is completely and utterly unusable. You cannot connect with any device and get even the simplest web page to display. One of the staff told my wife that it's because of the number of people staying. What a load of complete bulls__t. I later found out that it's actually a region wide issue since the bushfires. Several mobile towers were destroyed and a band-aid fix has been applied that simply doesn't work whatsoever. Apparently a mixture of government and Telstra finger pointing and incompetence, so I was told. Just as there have supposed to have been many improvements to the park facilities each time we stay, that have never eventuated, I suspect the owners are just too cheap to pay for them. The location is not close enough to walk to anything, and if you do manage to walk anywhere you have to negotiate a busy main road for a considerable distance with no footpaths and very little space between you and the traffic. In short it's probably fine for fishing enthusiasts who want a very convenient place to launch their boats on the lake and don't care too much about the accommodation, and don't need an internet connection. But for the rest of us who expect higher standards, and who like the convenience of shops, restaurants and other facilities within reasonable and safe walking distance, look elsewhere.

I have been visiting Tuross on family holidays since the mid-1970s and am delighted to come back whenever I get the opportunity. Only my 2nd stay at Tuross Lakeside however in all the years and highly recommend it as one of Tuross' best locations. Absolute waterfront location on Tuross Lake and with excellent facilities for everyone who stays, it was very busy during summer vacation when I stayed this time but equally quiet at nights which is testament to the respect that the campers showed to each other. Tuross Lake is a haven for fishing and water skiing with endless opportunities for both. Even better will be the proposed extension for children's playground which I'm told will be built during 2023, Lakeside is also well positioned between the highway and the main part of Tuross Heads. One suggestion is some better shade provision on the unpowered campsites which tend to cook a bit in the afternoon summer sun. Recommended at any time of the year to stay at Lakeside. Thank you!
