This is a fantastic local chemist. Admittedly they are not massive like Chemist Warehouse, but they are much closer to our home, their range is generally very good and they willingly order something in for me if needed.I remember one Saturday when our son was sick at home, my husband was out with our only car & I couldn't contact him... and we ran out of the very medicine we needed! Our chemist friends sold us our medicine over the phone AND delivered it quickly. Our boy was safely dosed up and less miserable before his dad returned home - a huge thankyou to the team!

I would just like to say a big thank you to the lovely staff working today. Even though they were coping unwarranted abuse from other customers, they were patient, kind and respectful during every interaction. My scripts were processed quickly and I appreciate that staff continued to smile and speak kindly after dealing with some rude members of the public. Well done.

The service is extremely slow they would rather talk to each other and ignore customers. I would never recommend putting a script in as took for ever to get my scripts and then they were all wrong and had to wait again for ever to have them all fixed, then they didn't give me the repeats so I have to go back there if I want my medications as it has to be keeped on file with them. No apologies were given, Not happy!

A lot has changed in the last few months since my last review: this is now the only place that I go for my medication needs. The staff are always very professional and they know their stuff! They always have what I need, despite the store being smaller than most other pharmacies.

Ignore the given closing times. It doesn’t close at 6pm on a weekday. It used to, but I’ve turned up three times at 5.30pm on a weekday to pick up scripts in recent weeks and it’s already closed. It would be really helpful if Star could put the correct times up here.I’m a shift worker so I’ll be moving my scripts to a pharmacy that caters for people like me who can’t get to a pharmacy during standard business hours.

Everyone I've come across who works here are absolutely wonderful. I always get great advice and everyone is so helpful. My kids love popping in just to say hello to the friendly staff. We always feel welcomed and valued as customers. Sadly I encountered a rude customer the other day and was disgusted with how he spoke to the staff. All staff handled it very well, remained pleasant and still served this horrible man.Keep up the amazing work. Its a pleasure to see your kind, happy, friendly faces each time I come in. We always choose your chemist over others regardless of convenience. Thankyou for all you do.

I had a disappointing experience with a terry white chemist on Harrison st. They overcharged for scripts, taking advantage of their position. The price difference was $50 for my medication and this left me frustrated and feeling taken advantage of. After checking with 4 other chemist I realised they have charge $50 more than anyone else.It's disheartening to see a lack of transparency and fair options, as patients should have access to affordable healthcare without being subjected to a monopoly's consequences.

This pharmacy has really turned around from how it was a few years back. I'd had negative experiences, but in the past year I've made it my regular chemist due to their positive change in customer service.Staff are friendly and do their best to assist in any way they can, especially Krupa she's so lovely! Always goes above and beyond and mostly the reason I keep coming back.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET ANY IMPORTANT MEDICATIONS HERE IN A TIMELY MANNERHad appendix removal surgery on Wednesday night. Handed in doctor’s script for pain relief medication (endone) on Thursday morning for them to tell me a 40 min wait. After 40 mins my partner went back to get the meds to which they told him they wouldn’t dispense it because the hospital had put a sticker with my name and DOB on a hand written script and it was illegal to dispense (not their fault). They said they would call the hospital and fix it which I was happy with.I called back 2 times on Thursday, they still had not been able to make contact with the hospital the first time I called (4 hours after handing in the script) and the second time they told me I would need to wait until Friday because my doctor was not working, and to “take some Panadol instead”. I cried on the phone.On Friday morning I called up to remind them to make contact with the hospital. An hour and a half after the call (24 hours home, more than 36 hours after surgery with no pain relief) still no word so I called the hospital myself.It took me a 5 minute phone call to get a new script. The hospital got a new one from another doctor who was there. I asked the hospital to send the new script elsewhere.At the time of posting this it’s been 28 hours since I put in my script with Star Discount Chemist and I have STILL not heard anything from them. After a surgery I should have been able to get some pain relief. It was cruel to leave me without it and unprofessional to tell me they could, but not fix the issue in a timely manner knowing I was just out of surgery, especially when it only took me 5 minutes on the phone to resolve myself.Edit: After reading the response from the store I understand that they are swamped at the moment due to COVID and had a hard time acquiring the new script, but even so, I would have appreciated some communication during this exchange instead of being left in the dark about it. As a customer service worker in healthcare myself, I make an effort to keep my customers updated on where things are at, especially if it is as important as this.
