A bit off the main strip of Cabra is a decent dumpling bar with plenty of seating and a nice decor. Unfortunately the neighbouring property has just had a massive fire and the whole block smelled of ash and smoke. It was not their fault but it did make it harder to enjoy the meal.Food ordered:Prawn dumplings, fried pork buns, scallion pancake. The prawn dumplings were decent. Good chew and tasty prawns inside. The pork buns were ok. Quite doughy and missing that punch of flavour from the broth inside. The pancake was not worth ordering. It was dry and flavourless. The assortment of chilli oil and sauces was good. Not sure if the oil is house made but it was delicious.Ambience:Disregarding the fire as mentioned - the fitout looks newish. Plenty of seating. Not very friendly service but didn’t really expect that anyway with my experience of dumplings bars.I don’t usually dumplings or Chinese food really while I’m this area and probably won’t next time I’m around. But, if you’re in the mood for dumplings this place could hit the spot.

Nice quaint little restaurant with the Chinese dumpling vibes. Restaurant quality is clean, hygienic, friendly and good for the price. The food at Dumpling Bar has flavour from the noodles, dumplings to the tofu. Very fresh ingredients for the dumplings, none of the doughy dry processed taste. Overall it's a hidden gem that just opened up in Cabramatta. It's a go to place for me now.

Had the pork noodle soup, pork buns, salt and pepper tofu and stir fried noodles with seafood. The pork noodle soup was ok. Not as flavourful as I would have liked, however was actually decent for the price ($11.50). The salt and pepper tofu tasted nice, however the texture could be improved (I think silken tofu was used instead of hard tofu which makes a huge difference). The stir fried noodles was pretty tasty, however, the seafood bits looked a tad rehydrated and shrivelled. The pork buns had perfect texture and taste…. probably the star dish. Will try the other dumpling dishes next time and will see if they are worthy of a mention…if they are I’ll gladly update my score to a 5. Food came out relatively fast. Customer service was very friendly and welcoming by all staff. Decently priced dishes also.

New dumpling joint in Cabra is spot on. The dumplings we had were fresh and delicious, with lovely soupiness in the soup dumplings. Surprising stand-out was the shallot pancakes - best version of these I've had in Sydney. Service was efficient. Will definitely be back!

I don't give one-star review, but this place is the first.First up, their opening hours is at 1030, contrary to the hours on the door and online. No service upon entry, and the restaurant was only occupied by one table. The place was empty.I had ordered xiao long bao, pork and chive dumplings, and hot & sour soup.Only the luke-warm 'hot' and sour soup made it to my table. While tasted OK, it was not steaming hot, at all.My dumplings never got served because, quote: there was no water in the steamer. You're a restaurant, serving STEAMED dumplings. How can the cooks not check the steamers?!The servers keep looking in my direction, and instead of being proactive, they waited 30 minutes to tell me the dumplings will be 'two more minutes'.I was patient, and give them another ten minutes, and by that point, my patience ran out.I walked out, telling them I don't want to be waiting 40 minutes for food and another table that came in after me, got served before my order.I wanted to support new restaurants, but it's hard when I get bad service. This place is just disappointing. Unlikely I will return.

The broth for wonton noodles should be made by grinding dried earth fish into powder after baking, and then adding chicken broth. As for the soup for this noodles, it is simply plain water. Even a Cantonese cannot accept this flat taste.

Friendly customer service. A nice dumpling spot in the hub of Cabramatta. The chilli oil could’ve been a bit spicier though.

Love this dumpling bar! The food is so cheap and delicious. Ordered the pan fried dumping and soup dumpling servings for two people. Restaurant is very spacious, bathrooms very clean and staff friendly and welcoming !!

Dumplings are good but the other dinner dishes were a bit bland. The kung pao chicken was not spicy at all, it was more like a diluted sweet and sour sauce. Would go back for the dumplings only.
