Tin Can Bay Tourist Park
I’ve never been to Tim Can Bay before. Such a pity because it’s a beautiful place and Tin Can Bay Tourist Park is a great place to stay if your looking for somewhere to stay during your visit. It’s close to town or, if your like us & enjoy a good walk, provides an opportunity to walk through the water front park lands on your way to feed the dolphins or to pick some some fish & chips for dinner.

This park is fantastic. It’s quiet, with all the amenities you could possibly need. The kitchens are immaculate, as too are the washing facilities. We are from the UK and travelling towards Cairns, stopping Tin Can Tourist Park on the way through. This being our first visit to Australia, and our first experience of motorhome life, we were understandably feeling a little out of our depth. Tanya (I presume the owner) was fantastic!! Always happy to provide help and advice if needed.Australia is an absolutely amazing country, yet from our experience, the Australian people are the jewel in its crown.

This is an absolute must stay! We hired an RV and are travelling up from Brisbane to Cairns. Tanya couldn’t have been more helpful and gave us all sorts of day trips to do, and the absolute highlight of them all was seeing the dolphins on the waterfront and learning all about them, and being able to ethically feed them, quite wonderful. Only $10 for the dolphin experience, and the caretakers of them couldn’t have been more committed to the dolphin’s welfare. We also did the Carlo Sand Blow (beautiful), Rainbow Beach, and Seary’s Creek while we were staying here. They hire out bikes for $10 so we rented a bike to bike along the lovely Esplanade track to see the dolphins in the morning and stopped at the local bakery on our way back. A highlight of our trip so far!
