Berry Getaways

We booked Berry Getaways for a family trip and were not disappointed. The home was spacious, clean and looked every bit as appealing as the photos suggested.I have since booked a second trip for a work getaway and can not wait to visit again.

I am still feeling traumatised by our experience with Berry Getaway .We booked a holiday house with them for our family and so looked forward to it .On arrival the house was beyond atrocious!Dirty , unwelcoming and discussing . I would have check out straight away if we didn’t have little kids and a lot of luggage!Negotiating with Berry getaway we were given a choice to leave and get credit but where could we go being a an evening time during the high season holiday period .We reluctantly stayed overnight and checked into another house in Berry . We had to pay over $3000 extra for the remainder 6 nights .That house was big and much better located but was not so clean and maintained and not worth the huge amount extra we paid . I had to ask for broom and had to start cleaning house myself .Balcony was dirty with overgrown plants and windows covered in cobwebs !The manager gave some unconvincing excuse !I have contacted the manager after we left but there was no response to my complaint.I have photos to prove .I love Berry but unfortunately the accomodation tainted my experience and I certainly would not recommend using this agency again .

Very difficult and frustrating to deal with. Don't do what they say. Strongly recommend you read the fine print in the terms and conditions.

We booked a holiday house through Berry getaways, sadly it wasn't a pleasant experience.This people (Berry getaways) don't know the difference between leased home and holiday home.After paying $1200 per night + Cleaning Fees, they wanted us to do End of Lease Cleaning before we left the house on our last day of the trip.Below are some duties from the long list they sent us to do before leaving Holiday house at 10.00AM.*Leave the house to the condition in which you found it,*Empty your perishables from the fridge and wipe down the drawers,*Empty the dishwasher and return items to their place,* Vaccum the whole house*Empty rubbish, recyclables, compost from kitchen into the relevant bins and any extra rubbish is to taken with you.*Not to mention the RUDE cleaner who kept knocking the front door 10.00am in morning, yelling at us rudely that we will get charged every minute past 10.00.We stayed at this Holiday house for 5 nights with 4 families with kids. Obviously we had plenty of rubbish which couldn't fit in 1 little bin provided. So If you traveling with big group, make sure to take less luggage with as you have to carry ALL leftover rubbish with you when you leave the holiday house.

Whilst a good location in a quiet spot the house was tired, there was basic furniture missing and the bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows were the worst we’ve ever tried to sleep on, (resulting in us buying new ones the next morning!) and the mattress springs we heard every time we moved …. not exactly what you want for aromantic weekend away or good nights sleep.We felt this was very over priced as it under delivered on the basics. Such a shame!The owners would benefit from staying there for a couple of nights to understand what a difference a few tweaks could make.
