Ettalong Beach Motel

Given the price and location, if you are passing through or staying for a few days on a budget, it is a perfectly fine place to stay. There were some issues with the hot water (none), however the cleanliness of the room could not be faulted - mind you, I did forget to check the mattress which hopefully had a washable protector on it. Be warned, when we stayed in March a hide apartment was being built next door so you were woken by construction at 7am.

Friendly operators, classic 60s motel with panoramic water views. Everything we needed and nothing we didn't. Beats the faux luxury and gauche of The Mantra!

During the 7 nights i stayed was completely comfortable, the staff were wonderful and the rooms were very neat and clean. It overlooks the beach and every room has a great view of the water..Very relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend it to anybody holidaying or just wanting a getaway.

My wife and I spent three nights at the motel @ $275 per night for a queen room.Cleaning and hygiene:1. No cleaning/or offer to clean was conducted in during out stay.2. No hand towels were provided-only bath towels3. The fridge was broken with handle attached using screws4. No shampooManagement and building:1. Jennifer was the person who made the booking and she was also the receptionist, the manager and the cleaner (sometimes). Most of the time the receptionist was not there and need to be contacted by phone.2. Despite the window was on the street-ocean view, still the slid window was not sliding to the position where should be locked open, instead a chain locking was added to locked open for vey little open space.3. With this high rate we had a high expectation to the motel condition4. There is no any type of the service provided.Finally, I recommend you to think twice before booking in this motel.

Good old school type motel, Cafe out front sells great food.

Love this motel & I have become a regular visitor over the last 3 years. Right opposite the water & the views from the upstairs rooms are fabulous. Just around the corner from the shops, cafes & Diggers Club. The rooms are clean & comfortable with lounge, table & chairs, microwave & toaster. On site cafe with outdoor seating open Thursday to Sunday. Staff are very friendly & helpful & I just love this place.

This motel is very much what you pay for. The price is pretty good, and considering the price there are alot of pros, some of which are: Affordable price, location is fantastic right near plenty of restaurants, an IGA and the beach. Staff are very friendly. The room was doable, but needs work. The cons are: biggest one was the bed, so uncomfortable that both my husband and I had sore backs the next day, it also creaks if you move slightly, very loudly. That was my biggest issue to be honest. There are smaller issues like the bathroom door requiring you to use all your might to shut it properly, no hand towel to dry hands, advertise free wifi but it is barely usable. Overall, for this price, the place is pretty good. Don’t expect luxury, expect the basics.

Wendy very kindly honoured my booking from more than a year and a half ago. The room was clean and has all amenities: kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, cutlery and dining sets for 2 as well as quiet air con, wifi and television.My bed was clean and fresh. I checked the pillows and they were new. They were so comfortable that I ordered the same online.The shower had excellent hot water pressure and toilet was clean.The view is amazing and apart from La Niña weather, it was a very welcome and hassle free break.Thank you.
