Great instructors the kids love it and learning to keep them safe over summer

Bathroom facilities need an upgrade, customer service even more so. Instead of being understanding and helpful, they hide behind any clause they can to avoid any sense of care and customer service. Shame because the swimming teachers are good hence the 2 stars because the rest is a big zero.Have contacted them via email and phone listed below and they never got back to me. Absolutely terrible and lost another star on the rating.

State Swim in Joondalup does an amazing job of teaching swimming. Their attention to detail in terms of swimming technique, coupled with supportive and encouraging instructors means that you and your children will learn to swim as efficiently as possible in a positive environment.

We have been bringing both our kids for swimming lessons. Teachers are great and have worked here for many years. Flexibility with lessons if they need to be swapped

My little one has been attending State Swim Joondalup from around 9 months old, with the Waterbabies Program. He is now 2 yrs and 4 months and will soon be moving onto the next stage. We have had a few instructors over our time. A special mention to Gail, who has pushed and extended my little one’s skills to accomodate his swimming level. It’s disappointing that my son cannot progress to the next stage due to age, when his instructor says he is ready and is bored in Waterbabies 2. I hope as we continue through, my son will not be held back based on age and rather on skill.

I’ve been taking our eldest son to Joondalup since before 2yrs….. we had great experiences at the start but now it’s gone absolutely horrible.Bathrooms are disgusting. It’s so hot and uncomfortable to sit in the facility.Our son has a few development delays every single lesson we voiced this issue and there was no communication every single week to help assist him.Every week someone will question us about what we are going to do as parents……. How about what is state swim going to do to help? We’ve been doing our part as parents with using every single revenue to help our son.We are now taking him elsewhere who HAVE offered the right sessions and private lessons since state swim couldn’t do this or communicate between them.Also changes instructors constantly there is no consistency.I emailed them about this and got the most pathetic response with NO APOLOGY or CARE.Just shows they are all about the $$$$$

Update: as before, I commend the professionalism and friendliness of the service at State Swim. Our little one has excelled in their positive energy. Highly recommend them. We have been going here for the last year, and still recommend them!

Not very professional when it comes to changing classes or teachers! They kind of force you to go with that spot or else you lose your money! I had the worse experience here, even if your child is improving and ready to move to the next level they will not move the child unless you do certain number of classes with them

Great place and mostly excellent swimming instructors. Sarah and Annie are AMAZING and have both made my shy, scared little boy enjoy the water and grow in confidence. They have just cut one of Annie's classes which is a shame but we're willing to move our own schedules around to get to her other classes as she is so smiley and lovely. Would really recommend.

All my children have been through the State Swim program and I highly recommend it. Their style of teaching far exceeds anything I’ve experienced before and their attention to stroke technique is excellent.
