Bought the metal Master english wheel among other things. Good price seemed good enough quality in store. Picked mine up and assembled it and the wheels don't line up and doesn't run straight. Contacted hare and forbes by phone and was told to email them about it, sent an email with photos and description and never heard from them.

What rubbish they sell took drill press back to them they said they fixed it still has sixteenth of an inch play in the shaft holes run off centre and they reckon it’s fine. They sell rubbish

Awesome to have a place to view really high quality tools you can buy. Actually quite reasonably priced for that type of industry. They don't really have much in the way of sales service.. but as soon as you're ready to buy something they spring into action and sort you out. Even received a discount due to sale that wasn't at all advertised. I do think they would sell more if there was more of a retail service presence.

This wòuld be one of the best industrial selling organizations of metal engineering businesses in Brisbane with staff that really know the engineering business with tools machines and spare parts to cover all the equipment they sell and service. Undoubtedly this business is australian owned and operated and displays all the aspects of knowledge enthusiasm and true dedication to their customers throughout Australia. Truly you must contact them when requiring any type of engineering equipment and tooling.

I hadn't been here for years. So long in fact, that they'd converted their old showroom to completely warehouse and opened a new showroom over the road. It's nice and clean now with a high standard of presentation for their equipment. That being said, they're still selling mostly the same and generally of good quality. Unfortunately I'm only a hobbyist but it is pretty exciting to give this shop a visit.

I recently returned a Drill Press (DB-360, RRP $572) for repairs to its work light – the screw bulb had blown, and I’d unscrewed the bulb holder trying to replace the bulb. Came back without the light functioning; it’d been disconnected, to make the loose live wires inside the machine safe. Not overly happy with that, but more so the lack of communication about losing the light without any feedback while the machine was in for repair – I’d expected the light to be repaired, not disconnected.Long story short, and without any grief for me, Hare & Forbes came to the party, and supplied an after-market accessory light which more than illuminates the work in lieu of the drill press light being fixed.I’ve purchased some small machinery - drill press, metal band saw, grinder, tool stands - and other bits and pieces from H&F and always been happy with them (quality and cost). It’s also great to know they service the equipment they sell, AND do all they can to make sure the customer is satisfied with their work.I don’t bother looking elsewhere now – quality, price AND service is a priority at Hare & Forbes/Machinery Warehouse.

I've dealt with this company several times now, and every time I have received first class service. Both the sales team, and the dispatch crew across the road have been very helpful. Can't ask for more. Well done Hare & Forbes!
