Lo, a grand and imposing cathedral stands resolute before us, a tribute to the splendor of yesteryear. The awe-inspiring interior design of this majestic edifice is truly a sight to behold, a testament to the prodigious skill of the artisans who wrought it. Its dimensions are nothing short of gargantuan, evocative of a bygone era steeped in the bounty of the gold rush. Indeed, this remarkable church is a veritable wonder of architectural mastery, replete with statues and woodwork of unparalleled beauty. Its historical significance cannot be overstated, a legacy of the past etched into the very walls of the structure. And what of the midnight mass I was fortunate enough to bear witness to in 2015? It was a spectacle beyond words, a moment of grace and reverence that shall forever be etched into the annals of memory.

Very serene atmosphere. Prayer gives peace. Quite big. The cathedral is dedicated to St Patrick, the pioneering Irish bishop who led the Church in Ireland and who initiated many changes to that society.

The plan is in the style of a Latin cross, consisting of a nave with side aisles and a sanctuary with seven chapels, and sacristies.Dedicated in 1851 and consecrated in 1897, it is built in Gothic style with majestic towers and high arches. Interior had a golden glow from the stained glass windows.

St. Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne is a beautiful and historic church that is well worth a visit. On my recent visit, I was disappointed that I was unable to enter the cathedral as there was a wedding taking place. However, even from the outside the cathedral is impressive and the architecture is stunning. The cathedral is beautifully adorned with intricate details and the stained glass windows are breathtaking. The surrounding grounds are also lovely and provide a peaceful setting. I can only imagine how beautiful the inside is. I would recommend checking the schedule before visiting, and to be considerate when there's a wedding or other service taking place. Despite not being able to enter, it's still a beautiful landmark to visit in Melbourne and a great representation of the gothic architecture.

I visited St. Patrick's Cathedral on a sunday and it's always amaze me. The architechtural Gothic style of the Cathedral draws the attention of the skyline. Free parking on sundays and recommend a visit to see the spectacular sight of the Cathedral.

(this is from the perspective of my wedding video shoot here at the church) -The exterior of this enormous church is beautiful.The interior of this enormous church is beautiful...but the interior is SO YELLOW...And then the central altar is actually under a kind of daylight, so there is very mixed lighting to deal with.

The cathedral is simply majestic both from outside and inside, but stepping into the interior was definitely a jaw-dropping and humbling experience. Loved the intrinsic and detailed architecture, with the stained glass and the grand organ. The church has a small garden outside as well with several entrances and visitors are able to enter without any charge. Enjoyed the experience and the moments of stillness within the church, and definitely a must visit if you're a fan of such buildings.

St Patrick’s Cathedral was a very solemn place. The church had an intricate architecture. The place was lit with a yellow orange hue from the sunlight. Would definitely recommend everyone to visit and spend some time in grace and prayer. Lots of things to be thankful for
