Two Dogs Tuning & Piano Restoration

hi i was going to write a short review, but I'd thought I'll share some details. Prompt, Madellen is always On Time (must be a music thing, in time ha) with her tool boxes. I have a very old Richard Lipp that unique and requires specialist tools for repairs and adjustments. Madellen has them all, weird screwdrivers and precision box spanners etc. Madellen is Cool as a Cucumber while tuning, even when the client (me) barrels into the room talking while she is finding the key / tone / tuning of whatever string she is working on. Madellen is methodical and so accurate and over several sessions has brought the piano back to a very hi standard. see also my facebook post,...as follows..Shout Out to Madellen Cunningham , Over the last 18 months you have lifted my Richard Lipp Grand Piano (circa 1888) from a loungeroom basher to studio recording quality. Repairs to the action, delicately filing, gluing and repairing those tiny bits of wood to make the hammers to fly with Poise and Purpose. The piano wasn't neglected but need work and over several months of tuning (considering Sydney humidity) Madellen (several, several sessions of tuning) brought back Tone and Temperament to the piano. It still has some more work to do before it gets to Orchestral standard. And we shall get to that over the next year. (these delicate machines need a fine touch and time to restore). Thanks Madellen it sounds great and gets used in the studio for writing and general nooooodleing all the time. cheers

I would like to thank Madellen for a very helpful conversation yesterday. I called enquiring about what to do with an old piano that is beyond repair or need, and whilst there was nothing in it for her to continue the conversation, she took the time to help explain how best to move forward and gave so much advice. It’s rare to experience genuine customer care or service (even though I wasn’t even a customer).
