Put us in possibly the worst room available, a ground floor room closest to the road even though they weren't even close to being fully booked.Told us there's a Jacuzzi that's off limits to children, only to find there were kids in it all times of the day and night, asked the pool staff about it they said Oh sometimes it is off limits to children other times it's not"

For my 70th birthday my friend spoilt me with 3 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin at Angourie Resort. I was blown away with the well equipped cabin, it was clean and comfortable and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Angourie Resort.

The resort itself was fantastic we got everything we wanted and then some for our first anniversary away together! It’s not just the property that makes this place amazing. The staff including Carlos, Steph, Millie, Hayley and Jamie. All made the stay amazing! If you are lucky enough to stay here make sure to spend time getting to know the staff! They are super helpful, chatty and give great advice for things to do!Thank you so much guys and we can’t wait to be back!

After reading other reviews we decided to stay here.. not sure how dated everyone else's eyeglass prescription cause they need them checked. The rooms are extremely old and outdated. The room smelt like cigarettes and the constant hum and rattle from the restaurants are con directly across from the apartment blocks was annoyingthe pool area was honestly the only good thing here unfortunately. That and th close proximity to yamba. The rooms are far from soundproof and all you can hear is everyone's kids screaming, people coming and going and the constant slamming of people's screen doors. Yes. They still have screen doors here. Considering how much they charge it's surprising the standard of the room. I strongly suggest looking at other accommodation before booking here unfortunately.

Stayed for 10 nights over Xmas and new year - 1 bed apartmentOur biggest disappointment was the room right next to the noisy and busy main road. We were looking forward to having a relaxed bfast and spending time on the balcony- advertised as being in quiet gardens. Unfortunately this was impossible with the noise and we had to close the door at all times with the aircon, no fresh air. It would have been quieter at home. I understand it is peak season, but for the rate charged and advertising we were hoping for more. Our room was not serviced for 10 nights. We would expect our room to be serviced for the price. The cleaners came by 3 times to ask if we wanted anything. I understand it’s busy during peak season, perhaps hire some more staff with the peak season rates which are being charged. The room itself was comfortable and modern, aircon, wifi, self contained for your own cooking, we enjoyed the shower. The large ceilings were nice - the spiders and cobwebs in the ceilings not so nice. We had to constantly log into the wifi throughout the day.The reception staff were mostly non-interested to passive aggressive, especially when we asked about getting some new towels and toilet paper after 4 days. The marketing manager manager (Maddie I think) was the standout - professional, helpful and friendly. The pool area was what you would expect. Fairly standard oversized pool with some places to relax, clean and well maintained. The adults only jacuzzi was great - not so great were the kids in it everyday. It would have been nice if parents respected this area and staff reminded parents. There are already several large areas for children. The pool bar staff were a standout, friendly, energetic and good service. The free tennis court was great - not so great were the balls and racquets which were in such poor condition that a decent game of tennis couldn’t really be played. We didn’t eat in the restaurant as we thought $38 for the vegetarian risotto was a little over priced. The restaurant didn’t look fine dining but with table service and a nice setting. The bar area with free pool table was a nice setting.Overall, I would consider staying here again, in a room off the main road, and if the price was $100 less per night (perhaps outside of peak season). Yamba and Angourie are beautiful places.

Overall this is a good place to stay and has lots of good aspects. The service and staff are both very good, the apartment we stayed in was clean and of a good size, the pool area and service there is great and the restaurant serves up some very good food and is not overpriced. Also the wifi is super fast at over 100mb but it’s not secured making it a bit of a risk to use. I don’t understand why they have not put security on it.But. We stayed in one of the apartments and they are pretty dark inside. A bit of natural light, but no sunlight and you need lights on most of the time. Also, one reason we picked this place was to have the option of using the kitchen to do the odd self cater. It’s ok, but pretty average in terms of utensils, glasses, etc. The thing we liked the least is that the dining table is on the purported private deck of the apartment. The issue is that while you sit there you can clearly hear every other conversation that is happening on every other deck around you.So if you have no interest in self catering and you plan to spend very little daylight hours in the apartment, this place will work for you. Otherwise it may not.

We stayed there for three nights for my birthday and somewhat disappointed.1. Firstly I got nothing special for my birthday, not even a flower, a little chocolate or a small card. Very unusual in hospitality. Most places would give you something for celebrating a special date with them.2. I paid with a debit card they charged a transaction fee even if their booking confirmation email saying laud and clear that there is no transaction fee for cash & debit cards payments.Reception staff justified saying if you wanna be avoid it you have to insert the card. How could I know? They don’t even let you know, no chance to make your own decision, they just charge you straight away and you get a surprise latter.3. Filthy swim pool and public jacuzzi. A lot of leaves, bugs, sand and hairs. The heated pool was cold on our first day with no previous explanation. They no longer provide pool towels. Two days without music on the pool area when my husband asked about that a laid who was working on the pool bar said they have only one device which was being used by restaurant staff and according her the restaurant was closed for customers at that moment.4. We had a spa treatment at 8:45am. It was Impossible to relax due to the kids screaming outside the spa. In my opinion the spa should be far from the main areas in a quieter area. Which each treatment cost at least $200 the guests deserves that.5. The mattress was very hard that we couldn’t sleep well and we had back pain for the entire time that we being there. Public hair in the jacuzzi’s room and It got greasy and a brown thing when weturned on. All the dirty was floating on the surface.I wouldn’t say this is a four stars resort. If you are a couple and you want to relax this is not the right place for you.

Absolutely fabulous resort. Reception make great coffee with the best coffee beans, BOTERO. Spa room is spacious and well kept. Location is perfect and only minutes to town but seems further away than it is. We will return again.
