Riverside Burrum Heads
Great getaway campsite. Not actually on the river but has access and can fish from the pontoon. Interesting walking trails with little quirks. Amenities are clean and tidy. Problem is the midgies like it too, just be prepared.

What an idyllic spot, a lush grassy field in between tall gums, a waterway and National Park. So much room to spread out, perfect for groups, families or those wanting to get away from it all. An abundance of birds, wildlife and native vegetation. Clean amenities with super hot showers. Would love to come back and switch off here for a while.

Great camp-site for those who prefer the quieter getaway in nature. Well done to Daniel & Rachel who are creating a great 4wd camping getaway beside the river. Great shower & toilet amenities kept very clean & Hygienic. Caught 5 Bream & 3 whiting off the public jetty in Burrum Heads. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days here.

Riverside is a nice quiet place to pull up for a day or 2. The site is flat and spacious. Fire drums mark the spots for the sites. There is clean toilets x 2 and 2 hot showers. The manager does an intro with each new arrival. When the wind is on the river becomes inaccessible and the small pontoon easily fits 3 people to fish from. But if your looking for a quiet place to rest up it’s lovely.

An absolute wonderful place to stay. So relaxing, spacious, and gorgeous. There is great fishing to be had there straight off the pontoon, or you can put a boat in through their private jetty. Watching the sunrise over the water was a fantastic way to spend the mornings. Its very close to town, yet feels a million miles away from anything. Perfect place to get away and relax.Dan and Jaz are very friendly and can offer some great local advice. There is some dirt and sand road driving to get there, but we sailed through in 2wd and road pressure in the tyres. Could easily tow a camper or caravan in.I will return!

This was a fabulously well appointed camp ground with absolutely everything provided. Loved the artistic use of recycled piping etc. To giving an authentic, rustic feel. Cleaning products readily available with great amenities.

It's increadible places like this still exist, open space, plenty of room, river access. Best camp ground on the East coast hands down.

Really enjoyable weekend in a fabulous spot, easy 4WD sand track access. The camping area is flat green grass with fire pits scattered around, plenty of space is available so you are not packed in like sardines. The facilities were spotless the whole time we were staying, showers were plenty hot enough and firewood delivered to your site! Potable water is available on site as well as fishing area and pontoon. Nice easy, relaxing camping, thoroughly recommended...

This is a lovely camping area but the midges make life here complete hell. We ended up leaving a day early because we were getting eaten alive, despite covering ourselves in tropical strength Aeroguard. Me and my 9yo son had to visit the doctor today because we have so many bites and they're getting infected. In summary:Pros:- massive open grassed area with loads of space- easy access to a boat ramp if you fish- very clean toilets, saw them getting cleaned several times a day- hot showers (that cost $1 for 3 minutes though)Cons:- The midges. OMG the midges.- Noise is not policed. The idiots near us ran a generator late into the night.- The toilets/showers are a massive hike away, around 300 meters.
