Love this shop for all things electrical. Some of the staff are very knowledgeable.

Great selection and prices (pretty typical of any JB) and the staff I've dealt with are friendly and helpful, but frequently the management don't have enough staff on. Went in to buy a tablet on 4/2/23 and waited over 20 minutes to get a team member to help, despite having asked twice. It was pretty clear that they didn't have anywhere near enough team members on shift, as there were only a few in the floor, and all had people around them. Other times I've been in, it's been 50/50 on whether there was much assistance - but once you get someone, they've all been lovely to deal with.

Absolutely woeful customer service at JB Hifi Mackay.There was next to no one working the floor, waited for half an hour and had to go to the checkouts for help.Everything we wanted was display only and not in stock.When you're spending thousands of dollars I'd prefer to spend it elsewhere.

Staff member that helped me was quick and quite knowledgeable which is a rather welcome change for JB staff from other stores.

Was given a price on items we went to the store to look at. We went home to think about the purchase. Go back into the store two days later and they said that the price had gone back up as it was a special price for the initial day. The staff were apologetic, but said they couldn't do anything about it. Hmm does JB Hi - Fi like to pressure people into making decisions to purchase items on the spot. I believe so. Very, very bad business practice if you ask me.

Amazingly friendly staff in an incredibly tight-packed store! 'Where's the way out?' 'Keep heading due north & you'll get there..! '

What a shame, I have been shopping around today looking at TV's and found one i like at the Good Guys. I prefer to shop at JB's so i called and asked if they had one in stock, they had 2. I was told the price which was only $200 more. As any consumer would i simply asked if they could match the price. I think his name was adam, he was very rude and sinply said no. No other words and then silence, I was a bit shocked and asked if JB price match, he said no, not some stores and actually hung up on me. So very rude. Lost sale and great service at good guys.

Some of the staff are very helpful and know there products or will find someone to help you if they are unsure. Some staff just say yeah I don't know and just walk away.

Went into JB hifi in Mackay to buy a Sony product I picked up a empty box of what I wanted and it had a big red sticker with a price on it I took it to the counter where the sales person looked it up and said yes we have them in stock I will get some one to get you oneThis other attendant came over and said you are not getting it for that price that special finished yesterday I said but that is the price on it so you have to honour that price she replied no I don’t you are not getting it for that price anyway we don’t have any in stockAfter the other girl looked them up and said they didAnyway sale lost and many more sales lost I and my family will not shop there again and will pass my experience onto my friends as I am sure the rest of my family willThank you very much for your terrible serviceJB hifi (Mackay)
