Lake Benanee

This was a great overnight stop and free camp. Lake was very very full obviously due to all the flooding in the area.

Great views of lake..birdlife and sunsets are niceDay traffic can be noisy but not too much at night.flushing toilets good

Great free camp for tent/motorbike. Lots of space. Only issue is noise from road trains on nearby highway that may disturb light sleepers.

A free rest area for self-contained vehicles at Lake Benanee with a gravel/dirt, flat camping area for 15+ vehicles and some facilities.Time and Cost: Free camp with no advertised time limit.Access: the lake is accessible from the main road into Euston. The access road into the park is dirt/gravel but is an easy drive in most conditions.Facilities: toilet block (no showers), non-potable water, bins and information board. The main camping area is an open gravel/dirt area with some natural and man-made shade.Ambiance: Good walks around Lake Benanee, a little noisy especially at night. Fires are allowed but there is little firewood.Lake Benanee is a good camping location in between Balranald and Mildura. Was a good stop to avoid heavy rain and high winds for a few days.

Great place to have a rest break. Lots of parking. There are usually a lot of RVs around camping overnight. Just watch out for the mosquitos.

Fantastic donation camp. There is a toilet block and tables and chairs.

Nice place for an.overnight free camp or picnic. On the Sturt Hiway so bring ear plugs if not a heavy sleeper...

This place was absolutely stunning. It was more so after the rain and the water looked a pale blue. It was quiet. It was pretty. Toilets were proper and clean.

Great place to stop and camp on a road trip, albeit it's busy, lots of caravans when I went. Toilets are clean and looked after with a full soap dispenser. There is a lovely information board with lots of historical information on the area and its surrounds.
