Highly recommend this restaurant, pleasant service and interesting tasty food. The roast duck was superb, the vegetables in sauce tasty and cooked just right (very fresh and a little crunchy) as was the delicious spicy beef dish. I will visit again.

One of our favourite places to eat in the North Shore area! Food is delicious (our favourites are the pepper beef, schezuan chicken and sizzling prawns), service is always super friendly and they have a great selection of wine. This is also a great place for people who are celiac.

I have been coming here for the last 15 years and have not been disappointed. The staff are friendly and very tentative while still giving you space to relax and enjoy your meal. The salt and pepper calamari is light and crispy and the pork ribs will always make you come back to this place to have more.

Have been coming to this place for years. The service is friendly and they remember who you are which is an added touch. The food is consistent and delicious... We recommend the salt and pepper calamari and pork ribs. There is a reason why this restaurant has survived all these years and more so through the pandemic... I look forward to many more years ahead. Thanks to all at Szechuan garden.

I think the food here is catered to a very westernised palette. It’s quite bland and when I asked to make the eggplant dish extra spicy, I couldn’t taste a hint of spice! We ordered about 3 or 4 mains between 2 people (because we wanted to try lots of different dishes) but ate very little due to the lack of flavours and unfortunately didn’t think the food was worth ‘taking away’ the leftovers.

We were not disappointed on our annual pilgrimage which usually ends here. The food was delicious and plentiful with loads of chilli, just how we like it.We had pepper chilli prawns, five chilli pork belly and a chicken chilli dish that was delicious but I cannot remember its name. Topped off with some boiled rice and a few cold beers was a perfect end to our annual wine tasting.

Used to come here often many years ago and had a chance to dine there again recently. The food here is still exceptional - definitely some of the best chinese in Sydney. The hot chicken in a wok is outstanding. However, the portion sizes of the mains are tiny, especially for the premium price point. The servings used to be much larger.
