Being fairly new to Brisbane, I had no idea who to trust the service of my elderly and troubled car to. I knew of their existence from going past there every day on the bus to work and thought when the time came, I would give them a try. I usually look for reviews to see what others had experienced but there were none for Hendra Motors. However, liking the sound of what I read on their website including how long they had been established, family run business, open extended hours, pick up service available etc, I booked my car in for a service and to check an oil leak. I had to wait almost two weeks but I took that as a good sign. I didn’t ask for a quote because I had the attitude if I wasn’t happy with the service, I could cross them off the list and never go back again. I can only assume that the reason I am the first person to post a review is that all their customers are trying to keep them a secret.I dropped my car off at 7.00am and received a phone call at 11.00am with a complete assessment of my car. While the news was anything but good, the thoroughness and honesty of the appraisal was utterly impressive and totally unexpected.When I picked my car up they took the time to go through the problems again in more detail even though it was obvious they were busy. I almost felt guilty when I paid the bill as it seemed miniscule compared to the effort they had put in. Unfortunately my best option is to buy a new car and they even offered to give an opinion when I made the decision. There is no doubt in my mind who I will be taking it to for any mechanical work. This business exceeds expectations and deserves recognition.

Rang in the morning for a safety certificate and they were able to do it the same day. Didn't find anything that needed fixing but made a sensible suggestion for some optional work I'd been thinking about doing anyhow. Had the car back that evening. Excellent service. Thank you!

The owner is just one of the nicest person I've met in my life. He simply doesn't treat his customers as income source, he wants them to be satisfied with the service provided. He cares enough to explain into details the issues he may find in the car. Absolutely trustworthy.

Fantastic experience! Quoted me $100 less than the larger mechanic companies did. They were fully booked but found time to fit my car in as it was very unsafe to drive. Great experience and will definitely be recommending to my friends and family :)

Had Ray undertake a pre-purchase inspection for me on a Toyota Landcruiser. I could not have been more impressed with the thoroughness of his work. Ray gave me his honest views on what the issues were and the approximate costs associated with remediation. Found plenty of issues with my old car (understandable as it had near 200,000km on the odo) but walked me through each issue and showed me physically when possible and gave me detailed descriptions of what else needed fixing if I decided to take it elsewhere for the issues that required further work outside of the service.Very friendly and helpful, will definitely use their services in future!
