Maxa Constructions - Cairns Builder

Beware - These guys wasted my time, they where given a clear budget of $150k for a small granny flat, to concrete a pool area and a gate house, so I signed up with them he said I may need more money so I got another $70k from the bank all organised so there would be no delay on my end. Their first draft came in 3 months in and I was informed it would be $450-$500k which was clearly a joke and they did not listen to the brief and the many emails describing exactly what I wanted. I was then put to the bottom of there list because of this and after 5 weeks of chasing them up they said they would have another draft and another few weeks later it was still over budget. I have reported them to master builders and QBCC and now seeking legal advice from a contract lawyer to see what is fair and reasonable to pay the first instalment of the contract which is almost $5k of the $12k plus engineering of $2.5k. Tread carefully with this company.

Unfortunatly never had any work done by these guys. I did ring for a quote on a bathroom renovation and I was told someone would get back to me, which they did. However he was only able to give me an estimate over the phone. I didn't want an estimate as I actually wanted the work done and wanted to know exactly what I would need to pay. He said he would get back to me with availability, however I haven't heard from them since.

I needed someone I could trust and rely on. Maxa Construction were just what I needed for my repairs. They helped me out with the Insurance Company to make sure ALL things were covered and that I was not ripped off. They were easy to work with. I knew what I wanted and they were able to deliver. In 2015 we decided to convert our small carport into an enclosed double garage that also included a training area and storage room. We knew what we wanted and had designs drawn up. While we were looking for a builder to do the work, we heard about Maxa Construction and decided to give them a call. I’m very glad we did.Karl & Felicity proved to be very professional, helpful and polite. They liaised with us regularly and clearly explained the whole process from the start. The contract was clearly explained and the work done promptly and completed on time. Where relevant they offered sound advice and suggestions. When we requested a modification they achieved this at reasonable cost.
