Foreshore Park
A very large park with some decent amenities and a rich history.A small playground is located toward the centre and the toilets nearby toward the south. It has some great views and is a nice relaxing spot to stop and have lunch.

Love visiting Newcastle. Always so tranquil and so many places to explore. The walk along the foreshore was lovely and relaxing and we found a park along the way where the kids could play. Even better was finding some trees that the kids were able to climb. Brings back fond memories of when I was a kid.

Foreshore Park
Very nice spacious park with a good mix of shaded and open spaces, including covered areas with picnic tables. There are concrete paths throughout and two ammenities blocks. There is also a playground with some swings and climbing equipment, however at present (Nov 2021) they could do with updating and expanding. What used to be a large pond has been drained and is now a far more popular attraction, frequented by skaters, skateboarders and scooter riders ranging from toddlers to adults. There is talk of removing the pond but that would be a shame now. There is also a community garden tucked in behind what was the old rail shed. It looks well attended with lots of produce growing vigorously in the spring weather. There are also some art works dotted throughout the park, including murals, a marble sculpture, and some unauthorised graffiti here and there. And if all that isn’t enough the park is flanked by the harbour, the ocean, a surf club, the Paymasters Cafe, the Customs Hotel, the old railway station which is now a recreation area, Fort Scratchley and some lovely old buildings in historic Newcastle East.

Foreshore Park
This place is a complete waste of space!!! This area could be and was much better used when the local kids and teens and even adults were using it as a skatepark, which they brought along their own ramps, etc.. this is literally my backyard, and I've NEVER seen it EVER be better used than at that time! I suppose the council either didn't like the idea or it may have gone against insurance laws or something.. I say fill it in or make it into something else.. I suppose there are a lot more pushing topics!

Foreshore Park
A very nice and beautiful park, lots of green area with activities around located across the scenic foreshore waters. It has big shed area also that can be used for a get together. There are many food options nearby to enjoy with friends and family. Lastly there are many beaches along the way to make this location even more appealing and entertaining. Recommend it..

Foreshore Park
Foreshore Park, is a very popular public green space, much visited by families, groups and individuals enjoying a variety of activities including walking the dog, exercise, community garden, community events, private parties, and parents with children. Plenty of parking and clean amenities, easy access. The park has large sculptures and a large cement frog pond, which has become a temporary skate bowl. The park is well kept by the council rangers with lush green mowed lawns and trimmed bushes and tall trees that attracts much bird life. Foreshore Park is a valued community asset. Highly recommended for picnics family outings.SuperCars utilises the space during the Race, and thousands of people enjoy display and race atmosphere

Netty. Was. Here. One of my favourite spots to pull up for car and people watching on a Sunday. Pit Lane carpark a term coined by local car fanatics is a great spot to cruise around is a #1 location for car meets in Newy.Watch the sail boats or cargo ships come in and out of the headlands. Sit in the park nearby, go to the beach or talk a stroll along the foreshore or out to the lighthouse.

What a cool little spot! We dropped in the other day for a coffee and it was lovely. Great staff, very friendly and good recommendations for food. I had a fish burger which was just what I needed and a nice coffee.Love the local hotel across the road which consists of a few chairs under a tree:-). This is a really beautiful location, peaceful and very friendly people. The ladies in the shop told me about a sculptor down the road and I paid him a visit before we left. What a lovely little interlude.
