Learning to sew with Shaye has truly been an amazing experience. I am a complete novice and was very anxious about the process, but as soon as I met Shaye I was put completely at ease! She is so patient and kind and such a great teacher. Before I knew it I had whipped up a tote bag, zipper purse and a top. I can’t wait to put my new skills to use and I will definitely be booking in for one of Shaye’s speciality workshops in the future. I would recommend this course or any of her workshops to anyone wanting to learn to sew or upgrade their skills. She is so wonderful and I’d give her 10 stars if I could!!

My nine year old daughter did a holiday sewing class with Shaye. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the class and is very proud of the bag she sewed. She looks forward to attending another sewing class with Shaye.

I decided impulsively to take a beginners sewing class with Shaye and it was such a wonderful thing to do! Shaye is a kind and patient teacher with the perfect balance of pushing you to try something new and embracing the fails. The whole experience was fun and I also got to make awesome things which I love to use and wear. Thank you for taking something that felt complex and dissatisfying and making it joyous and fulfilling!

The classes were excellent, well prepared, presented, delicious snacks and connections that reached far beyond our gatherings. I love my awesome pants, and they bring a smile to my face every time I pull them out to wear. I would recommend this totally highly, except I selfishly want to keep these classes just as they are for myself to go to again. I know they are going to be very popular!

Shaye is a brilliant teacher. It’s been a while since I sewed anything tricky. Shaye is super patient and knowledgeable about all things sewing and generally the loveliest human to be creative and make stuff with. I can’t wait to go back and do some more classes and pick up some additional skills to help me progress in my sewing and making adventures. My girls have also created a gorgeous zipper bag and scrunchies in Shaye’s kids workshops. They were so proud of their creations, had a fabulous time and can’t wait to go back too!
