Kilmore Dog Park

Compared to Wallan wasn’t worth the trip. Looked like the council just put a fence around some grass and walked away

Council needs to attend to this park. Water tap leaking despite being reported to council numerous times. Bins desperately need to be emptied.

Well it's a bit of fence with a bench, that's it. At least Kilmore finally has something for dogs but the quality of the dog park is poor.

OK attempt for first Mitchell Shire (official) Dog Park.The pros: it's secure.Good parking. (although can be a little muddy at times).There is a large bin, which appears to be emptied.Water onsite.There is shade for when it gets hotter.Being your own bags for poop pick upCons: The opening times are... Interesting 5pm closing! Too funny; dog parks are often an after work activity.Many sections of park are unwalkable (mud and churned up land).No walking track; standing around is OK; would prefer to walk laps with my dog. Closed on racedays (cause of proximity to a horse track) unsure how general members of the public would know which days they are, especially if driving (in a rural shire) to attend a park with their dogs and it being a race day.Overall; it's a dog park design from 10 years ago. 4 fences, and a patch of dirt.Unless your local go Heathcote, Wallan (unofficial space), Mernda (when reopened), or Donnybrook is OK.

Well we have problems here . The car parking area is a bog & requires a rethink. . And there are a few other issues inside as its is boggy as well . Unprecedented amount of rain doesn't help .Opens at 10am . Due 2 horse racing or training . What good is that in summer . A higher fence with shade cloth may have been a better option. The dog barking was the apparent reason 4 the 10am start or closure during race days . Are dogs more noisy than a packed track stand during race days . Perhaps another location may have been better . Typical Mitchell Shire uselessness
