Interesting and delicious food full of flavour… ‘I can’t believe that it’s vegan’. Plus friendly and efficient service - we sat at the window and watched the world go by, which is always interesting in Newtown. A very good night out

I Should Be Souvlaki
One of the best vegan places in Sydney. I’m Souvlaki addict for long time and still cannot get enough of it. Everything on the menu is super tasty. The place has great vibe with super friendly and help staff. Place to go for all vegans and place to start for those who want to go vegan.

Great place for a vegan meal. They have a variety of fillings and dishes for entree and mains. The staff happily provide generous samples of all their 'meats'.Drinks are OK; desserts are nice but not a drawcard.We were a large group and the staff rearranged tables to fit us, which was nice of them.

A vegan restaurant with some secret recipes is worth having a trip to. The strawberry cheese cake is something definitely one has to try. I tried the signature souvlaki being a beginner for the place and wasn't disappointed. The portion sizes are in proportion to the prices with beautiful presentations.

It was worth a try to see how vegan food has progressed. If you are vegan then this place will be heaven for you. I tried the salt and pepper calamari". Very salty but better with the provided lemon. The "chicken" was wheat based and whilst filling didn't have that taste wow factor. In my mind I felt like I was partaking in a very successful science experiment. It's still not there yet to make me want to switch over from real meat but incredible how close it's getting. This is the future and I felt healthier for the experience overall. Super friendly staff and service. If you're not vegan I do recommend to give it a try."

Cozy, very kind service from an excellent waiting staff! Amazing food, and it is conveniently located just a few minute's walks from the train station. This gave me a great impression of Newtown!They have chips (with oh delicious rosemary on it) and plenty of other great items. I only had chips, but I eavesdropped a bit and other people in the restaurant also loved the vegan meat" dishes

Wonderful experience overall. We were well looked after by George, who even gave us samples of the meat to taste test before ordering. The food was delicious and so tasty, even as a non vegan.

Incredible, all vegan food. Make sure you get there before Sunday if you don't want to miss out on the cheesecakes. The pork special is a must-have, and the vegan feta is the best I've tried.The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and clean. I'd highly recommend going here, even if you're not in the area.

Top quality vegan casual place. Staff were super friendly and efficient. A friendly vibe. It is a little expensive for what it is (a souvlaki joint), but not unreasonable for the level of service and you won’t be left hungry with the portion size.

I Should Be Souvlaki
Very, very nice little restaurant. Had the spanakopita, very crispy pasty and super fresh cheese as well as some of the best herb and spiced chips I've ever had. Super generous portion sizes, service was super nice. Atmosphere is intimate, yet tables were large enough to spread out. Highly recommended!
