Lovely food, it’s obvious that care is taken to ensure every meal goes out looking and tasting superb. If I can make one suggestion it would be to warn people that the vegetarian flan is quite small, my wife who isn’t a big eater was still hungry after the snack size flan was served up, very good quality food however so would be excited to return again on our next trip to Straddie

Bistro Seymour at the Golf Club was AMAZING! There on opening day. Top restaurant quality food, beautiful views, great views, awesome service and a relaxed atmosphere - doesn't get any better than that! So happy! Thank you Miles and staff am sure it will be very successful!

The course is a short 10 minute drive east of Dunwich The tee off on the first hole is spectacular with a 25 metre drop with a spectacular outlook towards the Clevland end of Moreton bay! The course is set among native bush land which provides a pleasant backgroundBasic supplies available at the clubhouseThere’s a putt putt course available for the less ambitiousRefreshments after are available and very appreciated after a round on a hot day!

A day well spent and an amazing meal. We had a fun 9 holes of golf complete with lots of local wallabies and then enjoyed lunch at the clubhouse. The food and service there was second to none, with the desert being a highlight. A real hidden gem, we will be back soon.

Had a wonderful lunch at Bistro Seymour over the Easter break. We had a large party - a number of whom were vegan - chef did a special set menu for them which was thoughtful and brilliantly executed. As for us non-vegans the food was excellent across the board, fantastic and friendly service and very reasonably priced as well. Could not recommend more highly

Great place to visit! Rent a home for the family for the visit or a hotel and maybe a camping site, the island is visitor friendly with a bus for those who are on foot or if you have a car or 4X4 the roads are good. And then you only need a 4X4 for the beach and the specific 4X4 only roads. So bring your car on the ferry and get around at your own leisure, and get exactly where you want to go to with ease and comfort in your own vehicle.A fresh water lake is accessible to 2 wheel drive vehicles with no problems with a beautiful beach, and a golf course is also just a bit further down the road. Four wheel drive vehicle access to the beach is located at the end of the road.Apart from the main areas of the town and surrounding areas there is not much wheel chair access or parking at the island, none the less the mobility impaired will have a chance to get to see quiet a good deal of the island with the use of a vehicle. There's dog friendly beaches and great fun for the dogs and their families at Home Beach. Home Beach offers a great place for swimming with a lagoon sheltered by a large sand bar around a meter deep in a lot of places, and it is great for a swim or snorkel.1. Picture 1 is the view from the balcony from the back of the rental house where we stayed.2. Picture 2 is of Brown Lake, which is a great fresh water Lake with beautiful water, beach and views.
