I continue to be impressed by the team at Clarke McEwan. My tax returns for my business are completed quickly and efficiently. They bring to my attention any areas needing my further work and I always get the advice I need when I need it. When there is something that they cant help me with they have someone within their network contact me quickly to assist. I have been very happy with their services to date and regularly recommend them to my friends and colleagues.

I recently decided to set up a small business and felt a bit overwhelmed with where to start. John was absolutely wonderful and explained everything to me in easy to understand terminology and made sure I left with no questions. His advice was fantastic and made me feel so much better about my new journey. A big enough firm for all my business needs but not too big that I get bounced around from accountant to accountant and lost in the system. Can't fault the team at all!

WARNING! Beware engaging John Clarke as your accountant. I am an orthopaedic surgeon and was recommended to John Clarke by a colleague. He seemed reasonable to begin with and then began sending absolutely egregious bills. In 6 months he had invoiced over 70K. When I requested him to justify these ridiculous amounts he refused to demonstrate his billable hours. Obviously I have changed accountants and now John is refusing to hand over my tax matters even though I have paid over 60K in 6 months. As it turns out, the colleague who recommended John has now also changed accountants. I have multiple medical colleagues who have described similar experiences. It seems he is developing a reputation in medical circles for grossly over charging doctors. I have never been motivated to write a google review before but my experience with John Clarke has been so appalling that he has left me with no choice.

I was recommended to Clarke McEwan through a friend and I couldn't speak more highly of the team there. As a small business owner they've offered me more support and guidance than I could ever imagine and they go well beyond just doing my taxes. They answer all my questions in great detail no matter how big or small, they have put me in contact with the right people and offer great advice on how to grow and expand my business.
