Highly experienced, implementing techniques that are proven to work. It takes ongoing training and consistency but we have seen the results over the weeks and months since we started with Maria. Key difference versus other trainers we have used is that Maria follows up, multiple training sessions and provides advice over email.

Maria is professional but easygoing, punctual and efficient. You will be able to see results by the end of your first session, if not during! You wont be disappointed in Maria's Mutts with Manners. We had issues with: separation anxiety, excessive barking and aggression with other dogs, with our rescue Maxxie. We worked with Maria for three sessions and all three issues have abated. We noticed a difference in one session. Maria also assists by phone and text if there is anything you aren't sure of between sessions. Maria shows you step by step what to do, and understands dog behaviour, which she clearly explains and shows you how to manage. We spent a small fortune on a dog behaviourist recommended by our vet; but the real change came from Maria's easy to understand techniques. Maxxie is now a well behaved and an overall more happy dog. Maria was great with our dog. We learned so much from our time with Maria and are very grateful for her time and wisdom. Gloria has improved markedly in her reactions to delivery drivers etc. She will still bark at the postman from time to time, but much better and calms down much faster when we intervene. Her responses to delivery riders etc are much better. We can walk through a busy restaurant area and she does not react to delivery riders at all any more. I feel she looks to us for what to do far more than she did prior to your time with us. There is still work to do of course, but we feel we have the tools now to do the job properly.

Maria was amazing working with my dog Pepper! She breaks everything down in a digestible way and I noticed changes during the first session! Noticing changes so early was very motivational and empowering to keep up the training when Maria left and my doggy and I are showing some progress. My dog barks a lot and pulls on the lead when in the presence of other dogs/birds and by the end of the walk with Maria, Pepper was walking calmly and I was feeling confident! Highly recommend!

Our three year old had developed some behaviours which we thought were less than ideal, particularly being reactive to dogs while on leash. Maria gave us the techniques to reshape his bad behaviours but more importantly gave us insights into why the bahaviours had developed in the first place so we could address the cause not just the outcome. It's an ongoing process. Now walks are becoming much less stressful (for the humans). Maria was always very supportive via email when we had questions and issues. Can’t recommend her more.

We have 2 rescue pup who have anxiety and a variety of many, many quirks. One of our dogs is also very reactive with other dogs.Since having Maria share her wisdom, we can now see a light at the end of the tunnel.Maria has taught us strategies to use around our home to regain control, which filter through to our walks.We saw immediate results after our first session with Maria. I cannot recommend Maria enough! My stubborn little bulldog was developing some behavioural issues that were not ideal. She was running the house, not listening and very short tempered. I called Maria hoping she could help.Within two days I saw such a dramatic change I thought something wrong with my dog. She was calm, far more respectful and listening!What I love about Maria is that she tends to your dog's individual needs and tailors the training specifically to that. Her training is also so easy to implement into everyday life. I was not bombarded with pages of information, but given quick, easy and effective physical techniques that shifted my dog's behaviour almost immediately.After our sessions Maria is incredibly supportive. I was able to email her about anything related to the training, large or small, and she would reply within a day.For dog owners with pups who need a little extra TLC, you cannot go past Maria at Mutts with Manners!

Maria was fantastic. We worked with her over the course of 18 months (only a handful of sessions though) and expect to contact her in future for any other issues we have. Our dog was struggling with being reactive to dogs especially on leash, classic Covid stuff. With Maria’s diligent help, we learned how to read his behaviour and cues from other dogs and then put in place structures at home to help him feel supported. Maria is all about educating you on how to read your dog, how to read other dogs and what is appropriate dog to dog behaviour too. It’s more than training, it’s really human education too! Now he is so much more confident and we are even able to have lovely walks again without (many) issues. He meets dogs on leash when appropriate and is much happier! Maria was always very supportive via email and text when we had questions and issues. Can’t recommend her more.
